Suspension? or No suspension!

This is a question that the league will have to ponder tomorrow, will the player (who will remain nameless, like his overall ability),who cross-checked Roenick TWICE in the back of the neck, get a suspension? I don't think so,because he is a beloved Tornto Maple Laff, and we all know the NHL offices love the Canadian teams. The NHL won't have the guts to do what is correct in this situation. Suspend him for the series! So the next question is: provided the Toronto team get's it's chance to come back for game 7 in Philly, will that "player" have the guts to face Roenick/Primeau/Brashear/Handzus/Recchi/Markov etc. etc. with the same cheap-assed moves? Or will he run like a beaten dog, like Quinn does after EVERY LOSS?

LOL

I consider what he did similar to Doug Weight cross-checking Henrik Sedin in the side of the head earlier this year......did Weight get 4 or 5 games? Antropov should get 2-4 for that cheapshot

2-4 games sounds appropriate IMO.

2 games. This way if the Leafs lose, then he will feel more responsiblity because he will have to watch his team from the press box. If the Leafs lose, then Antropov will be punished justly. He could have made the difference.

He won't or would have, but we can make him think he could

It was no where near as bad as the Weight cross check, however does that mean it doesnt deserve a suspension? I think not.

To say the NHL doesn't want to see Toronto win the Cup is like saying that the US never landed on the moon.

Anyway....why suspend Antropov when he's one of the Leafs worst forwards right now?

Yes I also agree with the suspension, I hope he gets 3 years in jail too. Make room for some decent players like Nolan and Reichel or Fitzgerald.

The thing everyone has missed is that Domi could be suspended because he may have got 3 game misconducts.

It could prove costly as the only reason he got that was to avoid being embarrassed by Brashear again.

hey if that's what it takes for antropov to get out of the lineup, lets pray that he gets suspended. i would have rather seen robert reichel in than nik. he at least doesn't take stupid penalties.

antropov out = better for leafs. flyer fans: don't get too excited about this lol. all it means is 1 to 2 less powerplays per game.

I'm hoping he plays because he sucks. I knew the Leafs fans would be pulling for suspension because they've seen him play more than us.

I consider it similar not as bad. He should get a fraction of Weight's suspension and a big fine because it's playoff time and that was an intent to injure.

It wasn't too long ago that Reichel was public enemy #1 in Toronto.

No, he has one. Your confusing his 3 instigator suspension and thinking it carry's over into the playoffs.

I don't want him to get suspended. The more adversity the LEafs face, the better they play. I want a healthy LEafs team!

It's one of those on the fence type of calls and can go either way, but I would rather have Antroproblem (as leaf posters call him) in the lineup.
