Slow in the crease? I thought someone else said he was being super-agressive. To me that usually means moving around quickly at risk of throwing yourself wildly out of positiong.
If someone could keep updating how he's doing, that'd be great...stuck at work with no streaming audio or video.
Slow is the one word I would not use to describe him right now. As a goalie, and a coach, he is doing everything pretty good right now, but he may be playing over aggressive. He is out on top of his crease, which is where I teach every goalie I work with to be. Watching Boosh and Leighton these past few weeks whenever they were getting scored on they were sitting in the middle of the blue. Right now ever time Backlund makes a save he has been about an inch or two outside of the blue. When the puck is on our zone he is constantly crouched ready to make a move to save the puck. He is basically playing like someone who has finally been given a chance and they are going to play like there is no tomorrow.
