Glad that's over with.

I was screaming to send Sullivan instead of Goc.

1-0. My nightmare come true

How does Trotz go 11 rounds or whatever and not use Shea Weber?

Tough loss hard to say we really deserved 2 points tonight though take the 1 and move on. I guess our shootout luck ran out tonight.

Rinne just looked plain tired in the end. It's cool though. WE GOT A POINT Just what we needed.

I don't think I've ever seen Weber score in a shootout in all the practices I've attended the past three years...Suter on the other hand I would have taken...even Klein...

Indeed a bit of a weird order, but hey his the coach, he surely knows how good somebody is at the SO...

Seriously. Bouillon... Franson... no Weber? At least Weber's slapper would have had a decent shot of making it in. Goalies FEAR that shot, man.

I think he might have had a chance if he kept it old school.

I agree with Suter and Klein. Wish Arnott was here. Even Wardo.

Would love to know who's call it was to send Boullion out with the game on the line! How about Weber, Suter, Spaling? Hell I'd rather Crispy get dressed and take the shot over Frankie.

Problem with Weber winding up is that the goalie is going to see that a million miles away and come out to take away the angle and a lot of net. Weber has a great snap shot, but doesn't have the mobility at that speed to deke to set it up.

Weber would have been much like Franson, come in with speed, try to back the goalie up, and look to pick a corner with the snap shot...

Suter and Klein have the ability to deke or shoot which makes them more dangerous...

Meh, Calgary lost again, that's the important thing. I don't want to jinx anything but I think it's safe to say we're as good as in. Calgary needs to gain 9 points on us in 7 games. That means They need to go AT LEAST 5-2 (we hold the wins tie-breaker if they go 4-2-1), with the Preds going 0-6. Not likely. I predict we end up 7th, just ahead of Colorado, with Detroit taking 6th. We'll face either the Blackhawks or the Sharks, and there's no reason to think we can't beat them. Four good games is all it takes, and as long as Rinne keeps playing like a man on a mission then I like our chances a lot.

Bouillon I have seen score in practice shootouts several times. He has the speed and skating ability to either shoot or deke and can be deceptive with his decision...

I'm not sure what Spaling's AHL shootout stats are or even if he's ever been involved in a shootout. The AHL is like the Olympics in that after 5 different shooters go (3 shooters in Olympics), the team can choose to send out the same shooter again and again...

With the way Howard was stopping them, maybe that's what you need from him...? Just a thought there. Chara, Rolston, and Aucoin have had their share of shootout goals from that

Wings fan here, not trolling.

Great game tonight. Wings and Preds the two hottest teams since the break. imo Nashville is highly under-rated and will be a handful for whoever they meet in round I.

Meh, i can't say I'm overly disappointed but a little bit for sure, never like to see us loose, this was exactly like that Phoenix game a few moths back 0-0 going to a SO and us loosing in 10 rounds. its a safe bet that if we go 10+ rounds next time we aren't the favorites

But anyways we lost but what is important we managed to keep Detroit behind us and not leap frog us in the standings.

Peks was great today and i have to say i hope he is as hot as that in the playoffs.

Also we got some good players out so can't wait for them to get back and improve our game

The whining was rampant when we used Weber against the Yotes .. it will show up when we don't use him against Detroit.

We got a point, the Wings are still behind us for now (they have a game in hand), and we're one small step closer to the post season.

Not wonderful, but, not horrendous. Need to do well in Miami on Monday night.

Oh, I know...just saying Weber hasn't shown much in shootouts during practice.

I'd love to find out what Spaling's history is in shootouts, but the AHL doesn't list shootout stats anywhere!!!

Great opportunity to watch TN native and Preds prospect Blake Geoffrion (#5) and Preds '09 draftee Craig Smith (#15) battle with Wisconsin against St. Cloud State for the right to advance to the Frozen Four in Detroit...

Badgers lead 4-2 with 10:14 remaining in the third period...

http://www.justin.tv/hockeyfor2day01#r=i2SruvU~

Geoffrion, Smith, and the Badgers advance to the Frozen Four with a 5-3 win over St. Cloud State avenging a 4-2 loss to SCSU in the WCHA playoffs last weekend in the process...

While we did get a point for an OTL, the Predators did not win...which means that the GDT for Monday's game at Florida is up for grabs for anyone to start!!! Conando, as the starter of today's thread, must wait until 12 noon Monday before starting the GDT if none is already posted...

I have never wanted to commit murder in public more than I did tonight. The two behind me were the most obnoxious, foul mouthed (with kids surrounding us, by the way), seat kicking, beer spilling idiots I've ever, I repeat, ever seen at any game against any team. It took every ounce of self control I had not to hurl them over the railing and into the section below.
