What impressed me most about him playing it down low on that shift was when he went around the net he skated right by Staal and felt no pressure in passing it back to him (just because its Eric Staal), he looked for the open man in the best position to score. I really hope the coaching staff is working with McBain on his 2-on-1. He looks horrible in that regard and it looks like he doesn't know what to do with his stick, just sorta fiddles with it while looking lost in what exactly to do and jittery in the process.
