Volchenkov (Upper body injury)

Great....Left Tonights game vs Panthers after getting hit by Sutton.

Looked seriously hurt, neck area. Hope he's back soon.

Not good, hope he doesn't miss too much time. He's been a BEAST lately.

To me it didn`t look like there was any physical type of injury if that makes sense.

He wasn`t expecting the hit, obviously, so I think he was just shaken up, and a bit stiff because of it.

Upper body injury, left the game, no updates on how long he is expected to be out beyond this game.

Interested to hear what it is. I didn't think it looked that bad, but I'd have to see the replay again.

He's at the hospital according to Gary Galley. Losing ATrain for more than a few games could prove costly.

When I heard Gary say Anton was at the hospital I almost cringed. Hopefully he's alright, looked an awful lot like his neck was the issue at first... Hopefully not the case.

Make your way back soon Anton, we need you.

Hospital is hopefully just cautionary. We need him back in the line-up ASAP.

Well if one of my fellow co-workers took him by Ambulance, I'll try and dig up some inside info on him on Monday.

Hope he's ok. He could take a break now if he needs it but the Sens really need Volch for the playoffs if they hope to go far.

A late season injury might be a risk players take when they are near the end of a contract. Wonder how long their insurance would cover them?

At least he has a sense of humour about it, always a good sign.

Sutton on hitting Volchenkov. "Unfortunately I caught more of Volchy than Weiss. I apologized to him and he was like "It's a great hit."

Let's hope he comes back 100%
We definitely will need him against a team like Washington

Clouston also said Kuba and Michalek would be okay.

I don't know if he just lacks experience or if he's an optimist, but he seems to be way off on his injury prognostications.

Gotta get rid of these hits to the head. Suspend Sutton for 5 games! Somebody remind him he plays for us now.

Smart coach. Keeps the opposition guessing until game time.
