CP Stars win 5-4 in a shootout to all but clinch a playoff victory. Peoria would have to win out and the Stars would have to lose every single game in regulation to not make the playoffs.

Idaho leading 4-1 in the 3rd. A win gives them 99 points. They have already clinched home ice throughout the playoffs, even in the Finals.

Watch for flying fake corn if you go.

Laredo fans throw them on the ice there when they score. (or at least they did back in 2006)

Fake corn?

I understand fake diamonds (expensive!) and fake paintings (rare!) and fake dog crap (messy!) but fake corn? Why would someone manufacture fake corn?

Did Nebraska visit Lubbock during your year there? If not, I can assure you fake corn is made and it's plentiful.

Why do Laredo fans throw fake corn? They're the Bucks, not the Husks.

Bucks eat corn etc.

It's Laredo for God sakes.

Trying to find a picture of what it looks like but can't find one. I just remember them being huge cobs of corn because they brought them to Shreveport when they played the Mudbugs in the Finals.

Allen fell 5-1 to Laredo tonight in game 5 of the best of 7 series. They now trail 3-2 in the series. They return home for game 6 and hopefully force a game 7, also in Allen.

Idaho is wrapping up their regular season tonight in Bakersfield. They're currently tied 1-1 in the 2nd and I'll post the full ECHL playoff matchups here in a bit.

Cedar Park had a chance to gain ground on Chicago for the No. 1 spot in the Division, as Chicago continues to lose. But the Stars lost 3-2 in regulation and remain 4 points back with 3 games to go. Rockford can just get to 96 points (TX with 97), so it'll either be home ice against Rockford as the No. 2 seed or home ice against Milwaukee/Peoria as the No. 1 seed in round 1.
