I was at the Texas game. Benn is absolutely DOMINANT at the AHL level. His breakaway goal stunned everybody on the ice and he deked the hell out the defenders. He literally made one guy fall to the ice he danced him so hard lol. Very physical game and this series is going to be amazing.

Did Crawford stand on his head as much as the Texas announcer made it sound like?

Crawford was good, but I wouldn't say he was playing out of this world.

Yes it is. They also sound it as many times as goals are scored. So hearing that thing go off in a high scoring game can be painful.

Texas wins 3-1 and takes a 2-0 series lead.

Allen falls to Odessa, 6-3, and heads back to Odessa up 3-2 in their series.

Idaho trails Utah, 3-2, midway through the 3rd period.

I was at the game in Allen tonight; pleased with the effort and the overall quality, but defensive breakdowns = rebounds = goals for Odessa. The last was an empty-netter, and I think 4 of the other 5 were goals on rebounds. Someone tell Allen's defense to stop watching the Stars' defense ...

Praise for 3 players tonight:

F Justin Bowers. Awesome. Two goals and he was in on many other chances. Really impressed with his speed and his puck poise; on power plays and broken plays, he was able to glide/stickhandle through crowds and into space, helping to re-establish Allen's control of the puck before he did whatever with it.

F Colton Yellow Horn stirred the pot throughout and generated some good chances; hate to play up the ethnic stereotype, but he reminded me of Jordin Tootoo (or ... uhh ... Steve Ott) out there.

F Bruce Graham threw the hit of the night. During the third period, Graham got slashed and felled in the neutral zone, and the offending Jackalope didn't keep playing, he stopped and they eyed each other up for a second (never a good sign). Graham had that smile/glare look going, jumped to his feet and just leveled the Odessa player with his shoulder, sparking a series of scrums ten or fifteen seconds later.

Looks like both CHL Conference Final series will go 7 games. Bossier-Shreveport won 2-0 in Rapid City tonight to force a game 7 in that series.

Meaning, the CHL will have 2 game 7s in their conference finals. Both tomorrow night.

Idaho won 6-1 tonight to extend their series lead to 3-0.

Watching Bachman play for Texas was very cool, he's an extremely quick goalie. Awesome reflexes... Very small though : /
