I don't want to give up Kaberle for him. No Kaberle, Kadri, Kulemin, Kessel, Bozak or Schenn. And Finger must be included! Must.

So Kaberle and Grabovski for Lecavalier as the principle of any deal.

One thing this team lacks is a size down the middle and I think Vinny would address that instantly.

Bozak, Kessel and Kulemin have chemistry together right now, so i dont think i would mess with that, but putting him with Caputi and another UFA winger would be nice.
Can't see why you'd have to give them Kaberle to take on that contract, their 1st would have to come back with Vinny.

Can't see Burke having any interest in that contract but if he did, Finger would be a must to go. Can't wait til the last of Gramps dysfunctional stentch is removed from the organization.

I would prefer St.Louis myself. I would be thrilled to have him with a leaf on his chest!

I was also suggesting this during the time Grabo was out and at that point I didn't really see him fitting in and his contract being moved was a plus.

Since he's returned I do have to admit I've liked his energy and skill and he could find his way into the top 6 as a winger. He's got a nice edge to him too.

Also St Louis has become Stamko's right hand and their chemistry is huge and so of the two I see St Louis being in the lightnings plans and maybe not Lecaliver

Yep, or he needs a change of scenery badly. Definitely not the player he once was. Not a big fan to be honest.

I agree with that 100%! The leafs taking on Leclavilar's 7.5 mil cap hit until hes ready to retire seems more like Tampa trying to get rid of the salary instead of Tampa trying to rebuild.

I would take him on the leafs, but I wouldn't offer much for him. Basically if he were available for next to nothing I would say give it a shot, but if we're talking anything of real value from our side I don't want a part of it.

Also, Finger must be in the deal.

Honestly, i would love to see Lecavlier center Kessel. I read an article from Ulmer i believe, and his cap hit would be around 7.5m.

He started off the season slow, and now he plays on the second line with those not so brilliant wingers. Decent numbers though.

75 Games, 22 Goals, 44 Assists, 66 Points

Discuss!
the question is does Vinny want Toronto?

Ya it had nothing to do with Brad Richards...

Lecavalier's current situation reminds me alot about the Isles' DiPietro.

Why, has Lecavalier been injured for 2.5 years?

I think Lecavalier would be a perfect fit for this team. He would legitimately be a top-10 Sundin-like consistent centre for atleast the next 5-6 years. He is only 29, already has a Stanley Cup ring, and a 50/100 campaign. That would be a good target for Burke, because Lecavalier has a really good chance of stepping back to where he was 2 seasons ago.

But i agree that the trade would have to be slanted in our favor for me to even thinking about the contract.

And YES, Jeff Finger would have to be going the other way.

Vinny isn't the answer... Brad Richards is. There pretty much the same player, but Richards is still playing like he's in his prime.

I'd take Lecavalier and his contract if Stamkos came with him.
