Just read Damien Cox's twitter....

Geez... for a big defenceman you'd like to think Schenn could maybe lay a body on somebody on those last 2 Pitt goals...
I have to agree with him, I don't understand why some of you blaming Beauchemin when Schenn was standing still puck gazing.

Schenn wasn't entirely bad. He was solid on the PK, tied his man up along the boards and didn't allow the outlet pass. He did alright. Leafs played great for a team with one and a half superstars. Still love Sid the Kid. No shame in losing on his stick.

Beauchemin has been god awful. At least Schenn is making some plays. Without Schenn we don't score that early goal... Withou Beauchemin we might win. Schenn does need to use the body more often, but he he is who he is, he's not a Phaneuf

Giguere and Gustavsson have to stop giving up minor league goals. But then again, they go into Hall of Fame mode after giving up those types.

Agreed. Mitchell looked poor and made several mistakes tonight.

i feel really good about this game. they played hard and came very very close. not too bad to do that against the defending cup champs.

also, did anyone notice poni? i think i saw him out there on two shifts. man am i glad he's gone. he has the habit of showing up like this, not very often at all. you'd think the first game against your former team would be one to show up for. oh well.

1 Point isnt good enought tonight, sorry but its not.

This loss could be the loss that allows Boston the 2nd pick
Who cares. Seems as though you're more concerned with where Boston is going to pick rather than how your supposed team plays.

I guess people could just stopped being shocked by things he types, or at least stop responding too him...

that said, Shaner's not the only poster like that on here... there's a whole slew of fans that refuse to smell the salt and realize this team is on the rise.

Great game, the extra point would have been nice, but in the grand scheme it doesn't matter one bit! striking distance of 3 teams now.

Just put him on ignore. That way, he goes away even if he doesn't want to...until someone on the board quotes him... (hint, hint).

so. let me get this straight.
when we play a great game and win: we curse the defense.
when we play a great game and lose: we curse the defense.
when we let in a weak goal: we curse the defense.
when we play a horrible game: we curse the defense.

can we just like.. you know. not curse the defense every freaking play?
and by defense I mean, Schenn and Beauchamin.
