The Rangers would also have to lose for us to clinch. Them and Atlanta can both hit 90 points.

Nope. The Sens would beat them in virtue of having more wins, even if the Rags win out. Destiny is in our hands--- win and we're in.

EDIT: You're right, of course, 87+2=89. I'm an idiot.

The Rangers have 76 points on 75 games. If they win out they will have 90 points.

The sens have 87 points. A win today gives them 89 points.

Right. Never mind. Long day at work and two crazy under 3-y-o kids... How about we win, anyway, and then we just keep on winning?

As you said, the Sens hold their own destiny in their hands.

I'm thinking though that I'd prefer a matchup against either Buffalo or Pittsburgh first round - Buffalo preferred... the only problem is, the lower in the standings we go - the more likely we are to see Washington in the second round. But that might not be a problem depening on how tonight turns out.

I fully expect Washington to have a big game though after getting embarassed against the Flames the other night.

Team1200 just said the Capitals are putting Ovechkin-Backstrom-Semin together. Jeez. Lee is playing with Phillips. We are so screwed.

How?? CC is not aloud to switch the pairings?

Im sure he would put Sutton up with Phillips to match that line.

Why? It's pretty solid... apart from being a Caps stream...
