Leafs Jersey

If you were going to get a new jersey, who would you get on the back? With the emergence of guys like Bozak and Kulemin, it makes it more difficult to decide who to get. While before guys like Kessel and Schenn were the obvious choices, we now have a few options of guys that will be in Toronto for years to come. Who would you get if you were to buy a new jersey?

I was going to impulse buy a Phaneuf third jersey when I was at his debut game in February, but I decided not to as I was short on cash. I know I'm going to be getting a new jersey before next season, but it's a tough call now. I guess it's still between Phaneuf, Bozak, Kulemin and maybe a guy like Stalberg or Hanson or someone because I like getting players no one else chooses.

you'd probally want to hold on untill next season as I have heard that they are changing up the jerseys, adding the stripes to the bottom again.

As far as I know they are only changing the home/away and not the third jersey, and I was planning on getting a third jersey. But yeah, I was going to wait until later in the summer anyway.

Few good ideas being thrown around such as holding out for the new design (if confirmed).

Wouldn't it be interesting also to see which jersey has the "C"? I might just switch to a Phaneuf then

That's another good point, but it's not that hard to buy a C and have them sew it on at CentreSports or something if he is named Captain.

Everytime I go to a game with my friend, the same thing happens.

I must decide what jersey to wear from my selection of players who are no longer with the team, while he just wears his single blank jersey from many years ago.

Just get a blank one, it's just as good and never loses its lustre.

(edit: looks like I used the proper spelling of its and it's. Spelling thread would be proud.)

Here's a question for you people - I have a CCM Bozak #42 jersey from 3 years ago. Looks like they misspelled Bozak though and instead put "Wellwood" on it.

How much should it cost to get just the name changed, if it is at all possible?

I'm not entirely sure if they charge you at CentreSports taking OFF letters, but I know for sure you can buy the letters individually and have them put them on. They may charge you for taking the old ones off but I'm not sure how much if so. I don't remember exactly how much each letter costs but it wasn't cheap if I remember correctly. That's at CentreSports though, so you know they'll overcharge you. You could try a few other stores in the city though and see if they can do it.

Man, I really don't know...

Kulemin
Bozak
Kessel
Gunnarson
Phaneuf

...

I'm really not sure I would be able to choose.

And what happens if we sign a first line forward that turns out to be key? Would make it even more difficult to choose.

If you can get the nameplate off yourself CentreSports charges like $25 for a new one. But they won't take your old one off, thats your responsiblity.

If I were in the market I would be looking at a Phaneuf jersey. Would be waiting until the start of next season to buy it though as I have a suspicion that the "A" on the front of his jersey will be a "C" by then.
