Flyers Goalies through time

I'm trying to compile a list of Flyers goalies since Hextall has left but struggling to find them. I can do the recent years but does anyone have the full list?

Arguments can be made for Roussel, Soderstrom and Leighton but not by me

And sadly, Cechmanek was the only one that was an All-Star.

Hexie retired after the 98-99 season. And there were guys like Hutton and Jamie Storr that sat on the bench but never played.

Meh, Checkmanek, Esche, and Biron all had good moments

People forget just how good Biron and Esche were for us.

I mean, Biron posted sv%s that were more than respectable.

I don't think anyone forgets... I think as Flyers fans we've been waiting for a goalie that will have a good career in the Orange and Black as opposed to just a good stretch.

I agree. Overall, our starters haven't been that bad. Not as bad as most people would lead you to believe.

That's true, but I've too often heard how Biron was bad for us which simply isn't true.

I want to be able to have a starter who can sustain some good numbers.

Expectations were too high for those goalies, then.

Biron, Esche, Cechmanek... none were spring chickens when they joined the flyers. They were all on the tail end of their "prime years"

I've never really heard anyone around here mention Checkmanek, I thought he was incredible. Anyone else feel the same way?

I see a viable pitch for a pre-game ceremony. "Flyers Goalie Appreciation Night"

I mentioned him. He was the only one outside of Hextall that was an All-Star.

Don't get me wrong... I was big fans of a lot of goalies that have passed through this organization over time Biron, Esche, Chechmanek Niittymaki, Boucher (round 1), I even remember being a fan of Garth Snow as a kid. They all had their moments when they were really good and accomplished a lot for this team. It's just since Hextall this team hasn't really had that goalie that has played his career here and put up at least close to top 10 numbers for at least a few seasons while doing so. I think Carey Price could be that goalie... but I think that dead horse has been beaten a few times already

Esche was acquired by the Flyers at age 24. That's pretty much right at the start of his prime.
