They're 7 points behind Boston, Montreal and Philly. Philly and Boston have a game in hand, and Carolina plays Montreal and Boston. Philly and Montreal have the tiebreaker over Carolina, whereas Carolina has the tiebreaker over Boston. Long story short, they're unofficially pretty eliminated.
