Still he seems like a player that'd be great on our team, and it's always nice to hear that someone thinks he's good.
i saw him play about 6 times with Bridgeport, i still don't know why he haven't got a full time shot with NY. He'sa big guy, great hands, he's maybe a bit slow, but that's his only weakest point. I think he's the best NA player playin outside america.

Looks like Frölunda is out looking for replacements for Olimb and Pettersson. I doubt that noone will be surprised that the two names being bounced around hail from Finland..

Pyörälä and Pesonen are the ones anyhow.

If I dident know better, I would think that Frölunda was trying to win SM-Liiga and not SEL.

What. A. Surprise.

I've said it plenty of times; I'd welcome Bergenheim back and a player like Kapanen. But neither Pyörälä or Pesonen interest me too much, if those are the options I'd rather see them go with what they got and bring up a few juniors.

Why not Robert Nilsson? He's free now, the Oilers won't sign him. I heard Charles Linglet is willing to sign in europe, would be a great fit for Frolunda, if they could give him anough money... Linglet is the eight best scorer in AHL.

Farjestadt gave him a new contract for the coming season.

He is actually looking to get an NHL contract.

Cause Robert Nilsson isn't a fin..

In all seriousness though, I doubt that Nilsson would go to Sweden in this time of his carrier, if so, his NHL days are over I think.

That is not true.. He had a one year option and Färjestad said that they wanted to talk about an extention and he said no cause he wanted to try and go to KHL or NHL.

He's not a solid guy btw, he makes lots of mistakes in the worst times, his first pass is as sloppy as I've ever seen and he never seems to want to shoot the puck in PP.
He will not play for Färjestad this upcoming season. Our budget is maxed out and our roster is full.

Daniel Widing to DIF.

Should be a good fit for Hardy's team I think (hope).

If Nilson would miraculously resign, then we'd have a nice team regardless of the many losses this off-season.

Yeah I think it can work out really nice. I like that he's willing to discuss a multi year contract after the season and he's the right build and style of play that our goaliecoach likes to work with.

He will join the team later this week and is not playing in todays game (the first of the season ) against LHC.

The statement was released by his North American agent from what I know. There was a small interest från Färjestad but not when they heard the price. Also, Toskala is not the kind of goalie that our goaliecoach Granqvist likes to work with. He wants taller goalies with much more agressivness than what Toskala has.

Färjestad signed with Alex Salak on tuesday this week so Toskala wont be playing for us, that's for sure.
