True.

He also just signed up a month ago so I'm going to give Columbus to a veteran poster. Still a bunch of teams for 2k10 to pick.

Boston would be great, SS. I regret not being able to sneak in and steal Edmonton again though.

Yeah... whoops.

So whens this puppy going live? Would be nice to have a firm indication of where our draft positions. Seasons end and by regular season point totals?

You're going to have a field day with all Boston's picks.

Season end points or we could wait for the lottery draw. Whatever you guys would prefer.

IMO, it's probably best to give people the two weeks until the draft lottery to familiarize themselves with their teams and the later round prospects in the draft. Plus, it'll take a little while before the other teams fill out.

The problem we had last year was that the week we had before the draft started people complained it was dragging on too long and trades were being made for the sake of it.

I think it's important to keep authenticity (ha...) and waiting until the draft lottery would be fine by me. But waiting for playoff knockouts would be a bad idea. Maybe a day or two after the draft lottery for the start of the draft?

Salary cap?... waivers?

I was thinking of starting the trades as soon as we fill up and then starting the draft after the lottery placement.

I also think waiting for the lottery is the best idea. Salary cap is a must, I like the waivers idea too, but it would take a decent amount of management from SS to keep it in check.
