I didn't want to start a new thread and I doubt anyone will know, BUT....

Is it legal to advertise HD (IE Center Ice) Broadcast on the HD channel in 16:9 and not actually send an HD signal.

I am watching the Av's/Oil game right now and there is no way in hell the broadcast is in HD.

Does it actually say HD somewhere, and did you look for the small print? TMK, most [all?] the U.S. Center Ice broadcasts of Canadian feeds are non-HD like the Edmonton feed against Colorado tonite.

The picture was 16:9 and the Guide says HD. I don't remember, but doubt it said HD on the screen. Is it normal for Canadian TV to broadcast SD in 16:9?
