Not a great trade for the Wings to make but I love Franzen giving back as much as he was taking.

Yup, I will take it. I want to see these guys push back.

Like Datsyuk vs Roberts in the Cup Final.

On a 4 on 2 why the hell would you want the goalie to come out like that? Play back a little INCASE the guy passes the puck.
No, he was right to challenge, Defencemen needs to take the pass, goalie takes the shot. That's the way hockey is and if you don't know that i suggest you stop watching/posting.

In the end you can always feel good knowing Osgood is in the nhl with 3 cups, and you're sitting at home screaming at him.

Not on the play like that. On the 4 on 2, no backcheck that puck was NOT going to be shot in that situation unless ozzie gave him an entire opening, which is possible but unlikely. When he's out that far it allows the forward/puck carrier to pass it, forcing him to move side to side. In his case, he failed at moving side to side. When you score down the middle, its the goalies fault.

The defensemen need to take the pass and leave him the shot but not in a 4 on 2 situation like that. The defensemen need to play their zone and push the carrier to the sides as much as possible, drawing more time for the backcheck. Ozzie was out way too far, however you want to spin it, he should not have been out THAT far.

Yeah, Ozzy was brutal on that first goal, but on the second one, the goalie plays the shooter. Kronwall wasn't really cutting off the pass and Ericsson was in no mans land trying to cover the other two flyers.

How the hell do the Wings give up a 4 on 2. A brutal goal, a charge and elbow to Helm's head not called, a 4 on2 break, yet the Wings are back even. Strange period.

I like the Cleary, Helm, Eaves line. Good to have him back.

First goal was all Ozzy but seeing as he hasn't played in like 3 months i guess i can cut him some slack, He's looked ok with the exception of the first shot.

Cleary helm eaves is looking real nice today so far, good line.

Not when it's a 4 on 2.

The first goal was brutal, the second one was brutal team defense by the Wings.

But then I forgot it's Osgood we're talking about, so everything is his fault. So this is probably already a dead horse.

What are the defensemen supposed to do on a 4-on-2? Just stand there? Because that's what Kronwall and Ericsson did. I'd almost prefer Kronwall to attack the puck carrier... hell, can't end any worse than it did and it might pressure the forward into making a pass when he doesn't want to. Or play his two forwards as a 2-on-1 and lay down to stop the pass. Anything other than standing there.

Raf with the bad turnover, and who had the Flyer that scored?

Flyers using the old "cheapshot the Wings" strategy, and so far it's working.
