eating at the Joe

I'm at the Joe right now, and I'm looking for food any good places in the Joe?

Should have eaten before you went it... Lots of great places to eat outside the Joe... Little Caeser's at the Joe.

Ugh, food...

I've eaten Little Caesar's all over Michigan and even in Minnesota, and it has been consistently terrible.

But the one time I had it at the Joe, it was delicious. It just wasn't the same pizza.

I actually wound up going to a sandwich place called Jimmy John's. Was quite good. Thanks anyway!

Haha, Jimmy John's. Those ads are funny. Is it better than Subway?

Yes. JJ's bread alone wins the competition

I concur. Being buzzed on "spirits" helps too.

Less selection, better ingredients. And they don't kid around when they say they're fast. I live in a college town; if you go in, it's ready within 30 seconds from paying, delivery I've never seen in more than 7 minutes (across town from the restaurant, and yeah we did time it for fun). Not exaggerating at all.

a whole large pizza, right? Cause for a slice, that would be a major rip off lol.

I bet they make it extra delicious at the Joe so people try it again somewhere else. What with Illitch owning the whole thing.

When I went last Thursday I ate at Cheli's Chili stand. Goes well with Leinenkugel. I believe there's a BWW inside the Joe too.

I was at the Nashville game, I spent both intermissions walking around looking for a stands that weren't "cash only". All I found was 1 standard JLA vendor (popcorn, hot dogs, peanuts, pop, kielbasa, nachos etc.), a little ceasers that only sold full round pizzas and REALLY small slices and a buffalo wild wings stand.

I'm not usually a JLA hater but I found it pretty frustrating that it is 90% cash only. Not only that...but it takes FOREVER to get out of the Joe after the game because the concourse is way too narrow, not to mention the ridiculous bathroom lines. Sorry...had to vent.

Hopefully our new arena is on it's way.

Jimmy John's is frustrating for the picky eater like myself.

I concur with the poster who expressed frustration with the stands at the Joe being mostly cash only... that's close to more space and better bathrooms on the list of reasons we need a modern arena.
