I think you're more likely to get a package like that from a team like St. Louis who might want to kick the tires on Harding to see if he could handle being a #1. Chris Mason is UFA after this season and Jake Allen likely needs a couple years in the AHL.

Thank you. And now I'm going to try to repress that memory and the one against St. Cloud State once again.

He was getting a lot more consistent playing time last year. This year down the stretch Mckenna has carried the load so it could just be that. Or as you said it's just a sophomore slump. He was terrific last season on that terrible club so hopefully he finds his footing again.

I kid you not. Circa 2002, I recall a thread on HF asking the timetable for when Ari Ahronen (sp?) was going to replace Marty.

You need to remember that on HF, we are INCAPABLE of letting things take a natural course; we must RUSH ahead and manipulate prematurely. Lou, on the other hand, will ride the horse named Brodeur for every last lap he can.

As well he should. You do that with the great ones. Because they are great, because they have earned it and because the great ones on their last legs are superior to 95% of the other ones at their peak.

If Harding was two or three years younger, I'd be down with going after him. Great junior goalie, but he's had trouble staying healthy in the NHL. Great potential, but I figure Brodeur has at least two, maybe three years left. I'd be more inclined to go after a Bernier or Schnieder, a prospect who hasn't yet graduated to the NHL and can be groomed as an NHL back-up before taking over for Brodeur.

While it almost a no-brainer that the Devils will draft a goalie this year, I think the goaile of the future may not even be in our organization right now. Lou I'm sure has some plans up his sleeve. And it may involve going after a goaltender that is #3 on a teams depth chart, but has the ability to be an NHL goaltender in the future. Fast forward two years and say Atlanta has Pavalec, Hedberg and Lehtonen. I wouldn't have been suprirsed to see Lou make that kind of a deal for a goalie like Lehtonen.

Every single year there are goalies as good if not better than Josh Harding available for a second round pick or less. No reason to make a move like this until MB30's play becomes an issue.

That being said, it would be nice to get another goalie or two in this years draft. They would have 5 years of separation from Frazee, so I think we're due.

Scrubs was an awesome show, but it is well past its prime now. I wish the network would Pandolfo it, but I'm sure they will try to squeeze as much money as they can, even if it comes at the expense of the show's quality.

I hope you're joking. Scrubs was funny early on, but it started to get stale after a while. To call it the greatest show of all time should be a crime.

well wouldn't it be more about taste then anything. I loved the final few seasons of scrubs. It's my favourite show of all time so therefore to me its the greatest show of all time.

Mike McKenna is the man, and Danis was even better. Devils organization is supporting the old ECAC goaltenders big time.
