It has to mean Asham is playing rather than Leino...not Cote.

Are they seriously going to put Cote in over Leino? That is just a ****ing joke if that is true. A ****ing joke.

QFT. Asham has been fine this year for what hes being paid. Cote is just a worthless punching bag.

I don't understand where anyone is getting the idea that Cote is playing.

He's not.

Leino is getting dropped for Carter I presume. It could also be a hint of trickery to make the Rangers prepare for Carter.

Which one are you using?

Quantum Fourier transform, a discrete Fourier transform
Quantitative feedback theory

Yes, I had to look it up.

Even if it's Asham and not Cote, I am still having a hard time with it. Asham can serve as a filler/extra. i think we need Leino in the lineup for his offense. A rotation of Asham and Powe would be perfectly fine with me...

Right, but even the comment about Leino not dressing in favor of more physical players would be in reference to guys like Asham and Powe. As there was no specific mention of those guys, everyone should assume they're playing. And then there's the simple fact that it would be completely ludicrous to play Cote in this scenario in the first place, considering that everyone is healthy.

I can see Leino playing quite a big part next season, he's been an excellent find. If we can somehow shift a body then he ought to be a mainstay in the lineup.

Exactly. Carter comes in and Leino goes out because Lavi would prefer to play Asham.

obviously its Quantum field theory
I would rather have Leino in the lineup then Asham. But at least Asham can provide something to the game unlike Cote who can get punched in the face and bring little else.

I'd play Carcillo Betts Lappy against NY Rangers top line.

this makes perfect sense

anyone else notice that the briere-gagne line played great with leino, but when hartnell played with them they disappeared.

Asham certainly deserves his spot in the line-up. If you want to keep Leino in the line-up it should be Powe that comes out.

I'd be willing to try that line again. With the way JVR-Richards-Giroux have been playing, having another hot line would be fantastic. Only issue is finding someone to take the other wing for Carter. We have... Powe or Asham. Not horrible, but not exactly blossoming offensive stars.

Deserves got nothing to do with it IMO. Asham is not necessarily an inferior player to Leino or Powe, but I think they fit better in certain roles than Asham. Smash em' would have to be on the bench if I were the coach, but that's just me.

What's up with the Asham hate? Ashers has played well since he has been a healthy scratch.

Who's going to throw heat at a guy who took on a top heavyweight and wouldn't stay down.

I love Asham but i think Leino should keep a spot based on offensive skill alone... I'd rather have Leino playing with the more skilled players than Asham... I think Powe should sit but then we wouldn't have a third line center.

Hmm, Asham or Leino. Which statement sounds truer?
  • "It's great that we're running up the score on everyone, but I'd really rather that we just win the fights."
  • "Toughness is fine, but we have been pretty crappy offensively for awhile now."

Me, too.

Unfortunately, there's 4.25 million reasons why Hartnell will remain in the lineup.

Powe can do a lot more than Asham. Can play C, W, PK, hits, is faster, etc.

Asham, while I like him, does nothing lately except one fancy deke every 10 or 12 games

Agreed. He just gets hated on because of his stupid penalties. If he poped in a few more goals and didnt do that daily stupid **** (which Lavy talked to him about it. I dont think we will see it anything) people will like him again.

Kinda hard when your playing with Powe and Asham... If you cant see play wise he isnt doing better, its just blind hate.
