That's a blow for Germany, but like always, I'll never count them out.

MILAN - USA international Oguchi Onyewu, who is coming off a season of rehabilitation following a long injury which has forced him to stay off the pitch for the whole season, but is now ready to face the World Cup with his national team, made a very significant gesture from a human and professional point of view today. Assisted by his lawyer, Jean Louis Dupont, Onyewu asked for, and received, a one-year contract extension from Milan, from 30 June 2012 to 30 June 2013. During this extra year, Oguchi Onyewu, by his choice, much appreciated by the Rossoneri club, has asked not to receive any kind of salary. This is an exemplary gesture which deserves sincere congratulations.

Losing Ballack is huge, especially since Rolfes is also out and Löw is not willing to nominate Frings.

Both central midfielders are injured, as well as the starting goalie. Löw is having personal feuds with Kuranyi and Frings, which is why both weren't nominated and most of our strikers (Klose, Gomez, Podolski) had an awful season. I am happy if we get out of the quarterfinals.

Maybe Inter can swing a deal where they send a second overrated player their way?

Personally, I didn't want him in the first place. I hope it was a one year mistake.

I know he really wanted to come to Barca, but it wasn't a good match.

I still expect Zlatan to be at Barca next year. It was apparent this year that their squaded needed to be a bit bigger and you never know what will happen with injuries.
His talent is so undeniable. One of the best passes I've ever seen was his, kind of on the touch line, and it's just the slightest touch in the most unnatural position. He did score big goals this year (see Arsenal in the CL) and had pretty good stats (29 GP 16 G &8A). The problem is that they need a player who is really just a hard working poacher (which they had in Eto'o but had to sell because of personality reasons.

Really awesome that they're showing this game on FOX. Oh and Martin Tyler and Andy Gray are calling it.

Yeah, getting Tyler and Gray really is a coup. It's like playing FIFA 10, which will be getting traded in, tomorrow. My stream went down for this match though. Boo.

Inter executed their game plan to perfection. Great team defense. Once they had the lead, the game was basically over.
