Yeah, but context doesn't matter because we all know what Jones was really saying.

For what it's worth, I'm growing increasingly pessimistic as well, and it's pretty unfair to label anyone with such a view as a relocationist. Just relax and have a civil conversation. There's a lot less at stake than you think there is, whoever you may be.

IEH said they needed the exclusive negotiating agreement to secure the financing. I take that to mean they should now have it. At least after tonight's positive vote they should.

After hearing Leblanc speak at the meeting, I feel a whole lot better. The only thing holding IEH back is a statement from the bank. Heard that will be produced possibly by Friday.

Great to see the MOU approved...long way to go but this is a good milestone marker to pass.

OK, now we are moving right along. This will be IEH's team. All that nonsense about IEH's finances - red herring by the relocationistas.

From the Mexican origin, it is the act of the performance of a fiesta during the talks of a possible relocation case.

Insulting language like that cuts both ways. Your point is being lost in your "OMG you people!!" hyperbole.

Just be civil and realistic is all I'm saying. For you hopefully Ice Edge pulls through with the financing and then that should be enough to seal another year for you.

Considering these 2 clowns are from my home town I hope they rott in...well you know where. To have 2 local Canadians prevent my team from coming home is a pretty big slap in the face...you should take some pleasure in that. They are no longer Canadians in my mind and they most certainly will not be welcome in Thunder Bay.

Best of luck with the financing.

WOW! "clowns" just maybe, this demonstrates the problems with the discourse on this board...

You know, up until recently I don't think any of us were taking any pleasure out of seeing the relocationistas cry. I am now, though, officially.

Along those lines; Balsille is a true Canadian hero?

That would be me. If anyone else has used the term previously, I wouldn't know.

Actually, the term "relocationistas" comes from an ancient Spanish word "arcinistas", or people who burn what they cannot posess (or relocate in this case) down to the ground.

Take pleasure in it? Why be vindictive or vindicated? We are all hockey fans. Nor did they personally stop the move, the NHL kept Phoenix in situ and other owners expressed an interest. Reinsdorf and Balsillie would both have scuppered your desire to see the Jets reborn as well.

I don't understand the implications of your "no longer Canadians" statement. All Canadians should root for American teams to fail and be moved to Canada? Or they are not "real" hockey fans or "real" Canadians. Doesn't jive with me.. shrinking the NHL as opposed to growing the game.

Some in Canada have a vested interest in the Coyotes franchise moving back north of the border, and they are entitled to that. Some in Arizona and other Sun Belt markets have a vested interest in the Coyotes franchise remaining in Phoenix, and they, too, are entitled to that.

Move on, lest mouser and I need to start handing out infractions.

This is it! IE now needs to show COG the money or unless someone with 25 million steps in the team is gone!
