You did good enough for me. I think I'll do that. Unless there's a better idea between now and tomorrow at 3PM...not just to get us pucks, but even just anything funny.

Let's cheer for two teams that will likely matchup in the playoffs !
Just checked it, and if Montreal wins while Rangers lose in regulation, we are in the playoffs !
But if PHI, NYR win and we lose, gosh how in the **** we are.
So, in the best scenario, that means we get a minimum of 88 points, while the Rangers can't get more than 88. But because we won 3 times against them this year, we take the advantage I think, am I right ? :]

The first tie breaker is the number of games won. We're at 39, NYR is a 36 so if we end up with the same amount of points we'd likely be in.

I think we clinch tonight with a win, regardless of the Rangers and Flyers games. Assuming all 3 teams win tonight, AND Rangers win their game in hand:

Habs - 80gp, 88pts
Flyers - 80gp, 86pts
Rangers- 80gp, 86pts

Assuming we lose our last 2 games...The Flyers and Rangers play each other the last 2 games,

If each team wins 1 regulation: we're in because we'd have more wins than Rangers.
If Flyers win both in OT: we're in for the same reason.
If Rangers win both in regulation: we're in because Flyers wouldn't make it.
-------------------------
Rangers win both in OT: Then we would have to check the Goal Difference (since series is tied 2-2) between us and the Flyers, and they have the edge right now.
Each team wins 1 in OT: we're out.

According to Habs InsideOut we can clinch if:

• Either the New York Rangers or Philadelphia Flyers lose in regulation (to the Buffalo Sabres and Toronto Maple Leafs, respectively) on Tuesday;

• Or both the Rangers and Flyers earn one point (i.e., overtime or shootout loss) in their games.

• If the Canadiens earn one point Tuesday night (i.e., overtime or shootout loss), they would still clinch a playoff berth if both the Rangers and Flyers lose in regulation.

The Canadiens will not clinch a playoff berth under any circumstance if they lose in regulation. Nor will the Boston Bruins or Atlanta Thrashers be involved in the Canadiens’ clinching scenario in any way.

They had NHL staticians work this out for them

I hope we make the playoffs and all but, I would like to know where all the urgency was say at the 60 fame mark? We are like Boston,Philly, just trying to scrape our way in. 6-8th in the east will most likely survive 5 games at the most in the first round.

Why no SK in the GDT opener? A win tonight would be awesome.

I agree and disagree.
If the Habs play Buffalo they have a serious shot of beating them...
If they play the other 3 then the chances are not quite as high...
but a hot goalie can take you far

Not necessarily, if flyers rangers end up with 3 points after (they play vs each other in their last two games, if each wins once and loses in OT) then we would need 1 point at least.

We win tonight!
