Btw for some of you that said you hope he scores a hat trick, if he does, I, and likely a lot of other Thrashers fans, will probably cry. We haven't had a hat trick all year. I don't even know if we have had one scored against us either.
Phrasing!!!!!

I have no problem with resting Mottau. I also think it's telling that Fraser is the one getting the call in his place. Lemaire is giving Fraser the experience now and keeping the rust off him, so if we need him in the playoffs, he is ready and available to step in.

Similarly, I don't expect we'll be seeing Salmela again this season.

Lemaire was impressed with Frasers performance in Carolina and is willing to give him minutes as long as he keeps it up. He did play over 15 minutes too and had over 9 hits.

To be fair that was in mid-January when the Devils had a disgraceful no-show against Atlanta at home and were in a bit of a slump heading into that (when there were all sorts of rumors here about locker room dissension). Actually they did pick it up again right after on the six-game road trip, so maybe something did change...too bad it was only temporary

Nor do I. He earned the rest and it is good to get Fraser some minutes. The ignorant snarkiness from a rookie user, however, I could do without.

They will definitely be desperate. For once I'd like to be able to hold off a desperate team.

Why is Zharkov a scratch again? Lemaire's just weird...how you go from sixteen minutes TOI with an assist and being on the ice in the final minute of a 1-0 game to being out of the lineup two games in a row is beyond me.
