- Hejduk is playing
- Yip will be taking Mueller's spot on the 2nd line
- Stoa has been recalled but he thinks Tucker will be back in the line up (Why recall Stoa then?)
- He thinks Liles and Duchene will be on the point on the PP
I'm pretty sure they tried Duchene on the point earlier in the year and it didn't work at all. Just like having Wolski there didn't work. Neither did Hejduk or Stewart. Only forward that has played well back there is Mueller.
Duchenes has great vision and if i recall he did play thepoint on the PP in juniors so hes not unfamiliar with it but the biggest thing here is hes not a liability meaning if the puck gets by him, with his speed, hes still able to get back on defense. Mueller not being as fleet of foot as Matt was always a gamble on the point albeit a good gamble but if the opposition got by him chances are theres an odd man rush goin the other way
He's just lost his scoring touch. I don't know what happened to him, but the guy cannot buy a goal. To his credit, in recent games he's played in, the effort has been there. There has just been no finish. However, that could be said about a few guys on the team.
To be honest, I never even notice that the guy is on the ice anymore until I look at the line-ups afterward and see that he gets a few minutes
He is the least noticeable player in hockey history nowadays probably
the AVS have a 92.6% chance of making the playoffs. The Flames have 6.5% chance.
With those numbes you would have to think TSN is wrong and biased.
Obviously the numbers say other things, and everyone knows we have a greater chance. But you can still look at the last few games, and the Flames do look like they're charging to the Playoffs, and we do look like we're clinging on for dear life.
I'd rather have Matt down low, and Yip at the point with his shot. Both played it in Junior/College, so at least they have some experience.
Not having Mueller in there leaves a huge hole. He's basically the only guy scoring consistently for this team right now. Time for Stewart to come out of his slump and get a couple, and for Yip to get back in the scoring column.
