Wonder if McBain will get a point on that. Looked like #55 for the Lightning got a stick on the puck after McBain's shot, which then went to Samsonov.

What's worse is that goal will bump him to something like 8 goals and only a -98 on the season, which will give dumbass fans more ammo to use in their "Give Brind'amour another shot next year" campaign.

Only reason I have is that he's on the cap for the full hit regardless of if he retires or is bought out. Might as well keep him in that case, he'll help get a good pick next year.

Full cap hit, but zero salary if he retires. And the Hurricanes aren't going to spend to the cap anyway, so it doesn't matter.

Oh don't get me wrong, we ALL know he has been rather terrible. I'd much prefer to see Dodge get a shot as our #4 to be honest. Just saying we're paying Brindy's full salary next year either way it goes.
