Honestly Lapierre as your first shooter?

You have natural shooter like Andrei Sergei Cammalleri Gionta and Pouliot and you pick Lapierre to shoot first? Okay you want him to shoot, let him go number 2 not first!

God Martin is a idiot!

The 99.9% wasn't just a figure of speech. It's the updated odds to make the playoffs.

Not trying to bash Halak because he's been really good but it was that stoppable glove side goal that brought the game into the shootout.

Not saying Halak needs to wear horns here, but too many excuses about that 3rd goal.
3rd goal + not making a save in the shootout. I can only imagine the vitriol that would be spewed if that was Price (sorry, trying not to be a fanboy or anything, but it's true).

Anyway like you said...it's not all on Halak but he has his share of the blame tonight. He looked like he was 2 feet tall in the SO.

Why does Cammalleri get a free pass every single game?

The guy is actually useless.

Lapierre is a better choice than Cammalleri right now.

LOL...You're kidding right. He's so bad that every D-man that gets paired up with him ends up having a **** game. I can;t wait for Spacek to return because Bergeron sucks balls!

By the way O'Byrne was the best D tonight!

The Habs can clinch if any one of the following happens:

WEDNESDAY:
The Rangers lose to Toronto in OT or regulation.

THURSDAY:
The Habs get a point off Carolina (win or OTL).

FRIDAY:
The Flyers beat the Rangers in OT or regulation.

SATURDAY:
The Habs get a point off the Leafs, in OT or regulation.
The Hurricanes defeat the Bruins in regulation, if the Bruins lost on Thursday in regulation.

SUNDAY:
The Flyers beat the Rangers in regulation on OT.
The Rangers beat the Flyers in regulation, if they also won the Friday game in regulation.
The Bruins lose the game in regulation, if they'd lost both Wednesday and Saturday's games in OT, or one of those games in regulation.
The Bruins lose the game in overtime, if they'd lost both Wednesday and Saturday's games, with one of those games being lost in OT.

That's a lot of outs. The bets are open -- how do the Habs clinch? Do they?

Does the any of the above strike you as particularly likely? (I'm depressed. Sue me.)

Honestly, I would LOVE to see the Habs-Leafs game as the PO clinching game. I want this soft team to go through pain and adversity, which is what they deserve. And hopefully, they'll emerge a bit tougher.

Agreed. If this was the Bell Center and Halak got the third star, you think he would be booed?

Not a bad game, but not a good game either. Mistakes were made by both teams and some players from the Islanders looked like superstars out there even tho they clearly shouldn't. I don't know what's wrong with Cammalleri, maybe he didn't completely heal his injury but he hasn't played with the same aggressiveness that he had in December.

PS: Halak was way too deep in his net in the SO, but he made key saves in the 2nd and 3rd period.

Bergeron was good tonight, and the fact that you couldn't see that, means you are biased.

Cuz they're sheep and have no idea what they're talking about. Coach's adjustment is actually responsible for a string 2nd period when he brought the forwards back to defend against the forecheck. This game is on the inability to execute basic plays like breakout passes and zone clearing. Hardly something you can blame the coach for.

No word of a lie: He jinxed them by saying the Canadiens were 2:06 away from a victory to get them in the playoffs!

If this game happens, the only ones going through pain and adversity will be Habs' fans.
