I laugh at the people wanting to call Bernier up to take over Quick. If it wasnt for Doughty/Vancouver missing empty nets, Bernier could/should have had 6+ scored against him. Yes he is young and should be a star hopefully starting next year, but at this stage he isn't better than Quick. Next year, he probably will be the best goalie we have but not yet.

Quick/Ersberg is the playoff tandem, irrelevant of what happens hte final games. If Quick really does **** the bed, id rather have Ersberg lead the playoff charge and let Bernier play the Monarch's playoffs nad develop further, than rush him into nhl playoff hockey.

I respect your opinion, but the Kings barely beat a hobbled Ducks team playing without their franchise center and #1 goalie.

Just trying to put this win in perspective.

Honest question: Do you all still think Bernier should be helping Manchester win their playoffs if Quick continues to **** the bed?

And before I get labeled as a Debbie Downer, I loved the comeback and the shootout clincher by Kopi. Hearing Hayward talk about the Kings effectively ending the Ducks' playoff hopes was gold.

My Duck friend was over watching the game tonight Hilarity ensued... This was an awesome night What a way to win it with Kopitar busting out the Forsberg move! Just an awesome way to watch the Ducks get eliminated. Just awesome.

I heard Ahlers talking about that, but how exactly did they come back from a 3-goal deficit twice in this game? Wouldn't Anaheim have to score at least 6 goals to make that even possible?

They came back from ONE 3-goal deficit, not two.

Thanks, math whiz.

If they came back from 3-0, they wouldn't have been down 4-1.

Hence, they only came back from a 4-1 deficit.

3-0 Ducks.
4-1 Ducks.

They trailed by 3 goals at two different times in the game.

Yeah, he's an idiot. I noticed it myself too, but I figured its par for the course.

These guys talked throughout the game, no play-by-play whatsoever, I won't even insult Bob Miller by comparing these two clowns to him.

Different leagues, different continents, different planets.

I just looked at standings scenarios. Now I have a headache.

The Kings can actually still get 4th place. If the Kings win out, and Phoenix goes 0-2-1 or 0-3-0 (they play Nashville, San Jose and LA), the Kings would wind up in 4th place.

Nashville only has 2 games remaining. This could wind up being one crazy set of last minute standings changes.

It's a very real possibility that 7 of the 8 teams in the West could finish up the season with 100 or more points. That is NUTS.

Was browsing the Ducks forum. It's interesting to read things from the other side. They're complaining about coaching and their defensive breakdown in the 3rd. I thought this comment was pretty funny.
