Not to sound pessimist, but this win feels hollow. They had their best player out and we got the game handed to us by the refs.

Howard gave up 7 goals in 2 games. That's not impressive.

Gotta start Osgood the rest of the way. I heard he's good in the playoffs.

I'd start Hasek over Howard.

Really? You're going to cheapen a win with those 3 terrible reasons? 1 we all know the Wings are not strangers to having to play without their best player(S!). 2 the refs have historically handed our opponents so many wins it's not even funny. 3 you're complaining about Howard being "not impressive" for a whopping stretch of 2 games. The SHORTEST playoff series lasts twice that long.

Get over it. Celebrate the win. ****.

Norm Maracle is available. And I think he's currently eating a rack of ribs to prepare himself for battle.

Howard is probably getting tired from playing all but 1 or 2 games since the year started. Osgood will probably start one of the last games to give Howard a nice little rest.

Yotes go up 2-1 in the 2nd against the Preds.

This team has completely forgotten how to play defense. Could have been 6 or 7 to 1 there if Howard hadn't kept them in it, and then there wouldn't have been any game-saving flurry of goals for the Wings in the 3rd.

Another bang-up job by the Tin Men Defense Pairing. Note to Ericsson - you're not Lidstrom, and the stick flip at the line doesn't work for you. Take a lap.

Fun fact: -3 games by Andreas Lilja today? 1. -3 games by Brett Lebda? 0. In his entire career. People just don't listen to me....

Even Nick made a horrible giveaway up the middle and then stood there while the guy waltzes right by him for a clean shot from the kill zone.

They absolutely must get the defense cleaned up, or they're going to get smoked in the playoffs.

On the plus side, Cleary looks like he's back on his game, Homer keeps doing his thing, and at least nobody got injured.

Did Dats tip Lidstrom's shot on goal? Looks like he didn't get credited for the tip.

Call Mike Babcock. Immediately. You can still save the Wings' season

Fun fact: Lidstrom has two -3 games this season alone.

By your airtight logic, I guess we should start Lebda ahead of Lidstrom?
