Niskanen scratched to make way for Larsen. Makes sense. Maybe someone will be able to hold a puck in on the PP.

Something that makes Fistric's +/- look even more impressive, the other 14 in the top 15 either play for the Caps/Nucks/Hawks.

Never thought i'd be so excited about what would usually be described as a meaningless game, here's to great games for the 3 and an impressive debut from Larsen.

I can't express how unbelievably pissed I am that suddenlink is playing the Houston/San Antonio AHL game instead of the Stars game.

Quick trivia from the pregame show: 7 players have played 500 games alongside Modano. Who?

Lehtinen, D Hatcher, Morrow, Zubov, Broten, Matvichuk, Tinordi? Does Sydor go in there somewhere?

Sydor is in there 8 or 9 seasons as a Star

The missing one was Ludwig, no Broten or Tinordi

I hope so. He's so awesome.

My Answers:

NOT MARTY
Lehtinen, Jere
Hatcher, Derian
Zubov, Sergei
Sydor, Darryl
Matvichuk, Richard
Morrow, Brenden

Ludwig? Oh, I guess so. Damn you Craig!

Brad Richards and Loui Eriksson named to the all-Pacific Division team, and Richards was runner up for best forward. Tippett was named coach of the year.

The best part of this is that Richards is better than Thornton.

well let's send off the old boys the right way

really interested to see how Larsen plays. His stats imply he's a defensive defenceman, but everyone talks about his offensive skills. Please don't score on your own net Philip!

Anyone know if there's a feed somewhere that doesn't require Sopcast?

It's weird watching Larsen pass because he has that Modano, hard pass it seems.

Obviously Larsen didn't get the memo about Dallas defenceman not stepping up on people at the blue-line. He's looked confident so far, but I actually think Aaron Gagnon has looked just as good if not better on the forecheck. He's been in there battling for the puck and cycling it down low with Sutherby and Peterson.

Pretty much everyone on the Stars is flying right now. Part their competition yes, but part wanting to make this final home sendoff a success I think.
