To be fair, I'd say about 40-50% of the dumb threads about the Leafs on the main boards are either started by a Bruins fan, a Flames fan, or a Canucks fan.
Everytime I got to the main board, there is an uneccesary post started about a random leaf player. It's totally useless guys, makes us all look stupid. Don't ask for people's opinions on players then ***** them out about it. Don't make stupid trade proposals.
Please guys, our team doesn't deserve attention, nor does it need any more negatvie attention. Give it a rest.

But yeah, best thing you can do to keep the silly people out of your hair, is just stay here on the Leafs' board. We got a few of them who are mainstays here but they are a minority and are usually cut up by other Leafs' fans before you get the chance.

It just inexperience to the forum, and if/when you are a long time user, you will see you care about the teams image on these boards, just because you hate being flamed and wouldrather not put up with the flak.
In response to a user on the first page about managment charging ridiculous prices for entry and food/beverages. Well said, their using a hurt fan base and giving us hope only to crush for so many years. I mean there were some years that we came close, but not good enough. How is it that some teams get last place one year, then make the playoffs and make it to the semi-finals the next? and the leafs have been dead last for i dont know 3-4 years (ok not dead last but close enough!), and still year after year, we see these moves and trades that give us hope, but still no! Im starting to think even with superstars this team will fail, but I remain hopeful that it WILL take awhile, i just hope i dont die before i see the blue and white with the silver. cross fingers

sorry but the only thing that is embarrassing is this leaf team. if anything at least some of the people that are posting trade proposals are trying to see what kind of value we can get for the remainder of players that need to go.
you do not give up just because you are/represent one of worst teams in the league atm, you keep chugging along no matter what.
What makes you think any of the Leaf haters on the mainboard are qualified to offer up fair value for a player. There's only 30 people in the league that have those answers and they aren't hanging out in here.

Ironically, this post is equally as useful as the ones you are complaining about.
It's a message board, we have a bad hockey team, what do you expect man? This is sports...trades and what ifs are part of it.
The most entertaining part of the year was the "WTF!?" factor when Burke landed Phaneuf. Then Blake and Tosk going "WTF?!". The impossible seems possible. So let people have their stupid trade talk who gives a crap what other net sports nerds think for christ sake. Do you honestly care what other fans on other boards think about these boards? If so, your worse off then the guy posting about trading Grabo for Ryan Getzlaf.
As for labelling those with a 2010 start date I do take exception to that.
Granted most of them are likely newbie fans, usually young dreamers hoping someday the Leafs will have Ovechkin AND Crosby on the top line.
But that doesn't go for everyone. I've been around hockey forums for the better part of 6 years and a fan of the game going on 30. To label an entire group blindly is worse than posting something completely stupid. I'll take stupid over biggot 8 days a week.

Oh Lordy, that is terrible. I think that may top any of the eureka!-type blockbuster trades and homer-speculation of the mainboards that this thread refers to. It was a good laugh.
