Just getting some rest, me thinks.

Don't mind Pando in against Florida.

Yes, Greene is getting rested. Lemaire also said he isn't sure who he will take out of the lineup for Pandolfo. I think it will probably be PL3, but we'll see.

Reason #4,632,576 why I hope the Penguins get their ***** kicked in the playoffs:

Their announcers.

Go to 8:40, I now know what you guys mean when you complain about FS Pittsburgh.

("A lot of empty seats in our other visits..." Weren't all three of our games against the Pens sold out? )

Pando and Mottau in. Let's hope they play a error free hockey, that's all I want out of those guys... the rest is just a bonus.

Mottau being in doesn't bother me. He's been fine recently, and with a day off, he should have more energy.

Pandolfo shouldn't be a problem either, as long as he gets only fourth line minutes and PK time. I don't see Lemaire pulling a Sutter and overusing him after benching him for the last month.

Past two games have been shutouts, I wasn't able to watch either game. Should I skip the game in hopes of keeping a winning streak?

No reason not to beat Florida, let's get those points and closer to clinching the Atlantic! LGD!!!!

Anyone on Long Island feel like enjoying some beers and watching the game with me, I'll be at Hogans Goat in Bayshore (150 E Main street) all night long.

Greene's resting, which is good. I'd rest Parise the last game of the season too, if we've clinched 2nd by then.

Lemaire's thoughts on this:

“We’ll have to think about this Saturday, Sunday,” Lemaire said. “We’ll see. It will be hard, though.”

Parise did get a day off from practice on Wednesday and Lemaire said he might limit his minutes a little this weekend if there is an opportunity to do so.

“Maybe try not to overplay him if he plays the two games,” Lemaire said. “That would be one thing (he could do). I think the rest is up to him to get good rest, good sleep, eat well. That’s all.”
Parise doesn't want to be rested though:

Parise said he’d “still definitely want to play” even if Sunday’s game has no impact on playoff positioning.

“I guess ultimately it’s going to be his decision, but, again, I would want to play,” he said. “I had yesterday off and I’ll probably have a day off in between the end of the regular season and when the playoffs start, so I don’t think it’s going to make a difference.”
Seems like he'd take the rest better than Jamie did, but he would be disappointed. I say give him a day off from practise, but let him play.

If we clinch the 2nd seed, I'd rest IK, Parise, Marty, P-Mart, Elias and Zajac in our last game. The last thing we need is a freak injury in a meaningless game just before the playoffs.

best scenario is parise gets a hat trick tonight and the isles beat the pens in regulation...then all the key contributors can take a seat till the playoffs

I have been thinking the same thing, I really hope he can hit 40, hes so close! It would suck if he ended the season only a couple away

That's why Zach probably doesn't want to sit. So, as someone mentioned, let's hope Parise buries at least 3 goals in the next few games.

I think he can do it. He has been very streaky this season, and he has scored in the last two games. Hopefully that hot streak continues and he can make it to 40.

There's no such thing as a jinx. Nothing we do on here will affect the players on the ice.
