No goalies that are similar to Price have been traded recently

Bryz was not nobody. Many had him touted as a starter.

Huet was better than Price (both the year before he was traded and after he was traded).

Luongo was a million times better than Price and landed little.

What do you consider "similar to Price"? Since his first partial season hot start he's gone 36-36-15-1 with something like a .908 and 2.81. Most seasons that's good enough to put you around 30th in a 30 team league.

This would help Pit in the long run and at the same time help Edm in the short term. Pit gets a very good Center to have behind Crosby with a cheaper contract. Gives them more flexibility to go and get #1/#2 line wingers. Now if there was a draft pick thrown in then have at it. Malkin now can be the go to guy without being behind Crosby. Give Edmonton some quality guys with Malkin and whoever they pick in the Draft and helps in the rebuilding process.
Well as an Edmonton fan I think you should replace Shero. Like right now lol.

But even even if we added draft picks like you said, hell, if we added our next 3 1st rounders, Pittsburgh will keep the generational talent that is Malkin.

Pittsburgh isnt broken or in any way in need of a shake up, so why make drastic changes? Having Hemsky would brighten Crosby's day but he still (as of right now) still has 49 goals with wingers who (IMO) arent as good as Hemsky.

Well I sure hope Pittsburgh doesn't win the Cup.

Among the many problems with this proposal: Hemsky is not a center.
