White out in Denver?

http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?p...blogger_id=122

I love this idea from Aaron Musick, if I lived in Denver I would do it. I'm calling you guys that are going to the games to join the movement!

Btw does Aaron Musick post on hf? I read his blogs almost daily, their pretty good.

First, lets hope they can sellout a playoff game and then they can ask the fans to wear white.

One step at a time

I can see it now, half the arena in white. The other half, empty.

Even the Colorado Rapids sell out playoff games. It'll be full.

It probably will be full. I was joking (kinda).

It was a sellout against the Flames but then dropped to 13,000 again in the next game. I thought the last few games would be sellouts for sure.

Burgundy would look better and be more original IMO. Everyone in a burgundy shirt would look pretty cool IMO.

The "next game" was easter sunday, was it not? That may have something to do with it.

I'd much rather have the Avs give white pom-poms to everyone.

Pom-poms are fun.

Oh, you know what? I still have a box in my basement stuffed full of those white pompoms they threw out during the 1996 parade. I should dig em out and bring some to the game I'm going to.

Although now that I think about it, don't they give everyone pompoms/towels at the first game anyways?

I always wear my blue nords jersey to games...
Every single playoff game I've ever been to they've provided white pom-poms. I think that's enough. Unless they get it published in the news paper or put it on the evening news it won't get a good turn out anyways. A majority of those people in the arena don't read hockey blogs or forums I'm sure.

If it gets super hyped before, I'll participate, but at this point it doesn't seem like many people will so I'd rather get decked out in my Avs-gear, none of which is white

White out? I wish other teams hadnt. We could use white out cause were the avalanche and we could look like snow or something.

Since I'm in So Cal, I went to the last Avs v. Kings game and they were going to do a back in black... I laughed since we do have plenty of "black-outs" in LA.

Ill do whatever the overall consensus is but I do not see anything like this getting enough stem to actually happen.

Not actually living in Colorado anymore...I'm going to throw my two cents in...whether it's worth that much, you be the judge.

1. White outs have become overblown. I believe Winnipeg started it...the Coyotes continue to steal tradition from the former city, and I think it's crap. Just a thought.

2. Opposing goalies have actually said they have an easier time seeing the puck against all the white. Why help?

Yeah, but burgundy is more of a rare shirt color while almost everyone has a white shirt.

I'd go all blue. Phoenix and Pittsburgh already do white out's Philly has Orange and the Caps own Red (which is close enough to Burgandy). I'd do something semi-unique. Besides the Avs will have white pom-poms.

I guess that could work, but in my experience all the shirts they give away at sporting events are made for abnormally fat 6'5 guys.

The only exception was once at a Broncos game where the shirt was surprisingly too small.
