At least the #9s are making the game "interesting".

As far as the last goal: two teams not making the playoffs, Modano's last time at home most likely, he could've roundhouse kicked it in and they would've let it stand, lol.

It would be better for the pick if Dallas won in regulation. Otherwise we stay a point ahead of them.

Hope the Wiz shoots the puck at Modano's pads on OT and sends him on a breakaway for the win.

Georgie's got one too, I believe. Craziness.

Glad to see Modano get one in his last game in Big D. Really special to see.

What's up with all those scratched players? Anyone can inform me? I refuse to believe all those people are hurt.

EDIT: Jesus Christ, Ducks getting outshot by a ridiculous margin. Hiller is a stud when he's on.

There's a thread about it. Getzlaf and Lubo have legit injuries, otherwise we are resting our vets.

Couldn't have played McElhinney tonight could we? Woulda guaranteed a loss with all these shots against.

If tonight's 3 Stars wasn't all about sentiments, Hiller would've definitely been the 1st Star. He played insane. No wonder Giguere was traded.

9's gettin on the score sheet all round. Don't mind that the last goal he had counted, even though it was above the bar. Good guy, I really think Dallas is mismanaging him behind the scenes.

im ok with the 3 stars selections.. they were all about sentiment even though im sure both fan bases would agree that hiller at least deserved the 2nd star if not the first

Oh definitely, if this game was played last week he'd have probably been first star.

But not tonight.

I was almost expecting Modano to be given all three stars, but I'm glad they included Turco (for the win) and Lehtinen (shootout clincher + 1 assist).

This is by far the best GDT I've seen on here since joining, ever.

Now there's only two games left to lose. Although losing to Edmonton could be hard even if you want to lol. At least they know they won't climb in the standings even if they win.

I'd imagine they would win on fan appreciation night. All the regulars should be in who don't have injuries.

Also, the best GDT? Because we wanted them to lose?

I wasn't around on HF prior the lockout when the Ducks sucked, so this is a new situation for me on HF. Not saying it was wrong hoping the Ducks would lose, I also hoped for it. But not ever after the lockout have we been rooting for the opposition on here lol.

Give it to him. It's Modano. Let him go out in style."

Just give it to him!!!
Epic

Not to mention the Stars fans coming in and rooting for the Ducks.

"May the worst team lose" I'd say.

Hehe, it was a bit strange, us cheering for the Stars to win and the Stars fans cheering for us to win.

I'm actually going to kinda miss Modano, he was one of the first players I knew of when I got into hockey, and if he retires that's yet another player from my childhood gone. Sort of depressing when I think about it, all but two of the players I liked as a kid are either retiring or retired.

I was sort of apathetic to the game. It doesn't really matter, so I'm just interested in seeing the young guys play. George and Brookbank with A's though...that was one of those odd moments.

Yeah I wasnt around either. I hate wanting them to lose but I felt good inside when Modano played such a key role in their victory.

Not to mention that all three have been a big part of the Stars' core for some time(Turco obviously less than the other two, but still a big part), and there's a chance that for all three it was their final game in Dallas as a Star.

Despite the loss, it must have been a pretty epic game for Bobby Ryan to be a part of. He got to see just how much his childhood hero is loved here in Dallas and got to feel that electricity. I know the kid is good, but that HAD to have elevated his game. It just showed in comparison (yes I know most of the regulars are out) to the rest of the Ducks, aside from Hiller.

Good luck next season guys, and now that you don't have Pronger anymore I don't hate your team as much and I look forward to meeting in the playoffs next year where our two clubs belong.
