sorry this is late. had a little too much fun last night
pucks to the net
go to the greasy areas
be heavy on the puck
get traffic in front, on the sides, and ultimately the back of the net
short shifts
have a great compete level
and above all else...GGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNDDD DDDDDDDD
I Don't really have a good feeling about this one, but hoping for the best, if we could go up 2-0 it would be huge.
Also i hope we don't give up an early goal and give Chicago momentum, 0-0 or leading after one would be huge and would make Chicago do desperate stuff in my mind.
So Let's get it done boys So you can go onto home ice on a high
I'll be honest, this could be a win, this could be a loss. Either way the Preds have home field. If the Preds win this is a 2-0 series and the team could finally win a series at home of all places.
Tonight needs to be close and in your face hockey. We need this team to step it up a level from Friday. No dumb penalties. Communicate on the ice. Keep your head where it needs to be. If Nashville plays like the team we've all seen them play as we could be looking at a two game lead coming home.
Good luck guys, would love to see some depressed Chicago fans walking around the streets!
My friend from Nashville who now lives in Chicago was on a train home after the game Friday and said it was a preeeetty interesting vibe on that train.
Anyway, I think we are going to see the Blackhawks at their best tonight. Fast, explosive, angry, etc. For two days they have probably been dwelling on the fact that they got beat by a lesser team (let's be real) in their own building. I think it's extremely important for us to get the first goal tonight. If that happens, anything else can. They will have crowd momentum and they will be looking to win and come back to Nashville on a roll. We have to stop that in its tracks and take control of the game before they can do it to us.
Interesting that my laptop background is that of Patrick Kane. Sigh. I just hope for an exciting game. If Rinne stands on his head, we have a chance. Glad to see the old Joel Ward back.
You're barely 8 hours away from Nashville I wouldn't get too carried away with the term 'northern'. Or in your case, 'nothern'.
I think he was referring to Laura Nothern. She is an artist I believe. Apparently she is going to whoop our butts, I wonder if she plays hockey as well as she paints? http://lauranothern.blogspot.com/
Off to waste more money at Buffalo Wild Wings to watch this one, well worth it though. Just hoping for a good, hard-fought game. Not sure we'll be able to take this one.

This won't be an easy game, and considering how the other series have gone, it's likely that we split the first two. However, it is always anyone's game. If Rinne stays hot and our boys cut down on the turnovers and outwork the Hawks, we have this. Otherwise, we gear up and try to win both home games.
so does someone give it to Eager, or do we let him go since our PK is so bad?
I have been wondering the same thing but if someone just drops them with him, no advantage to them, five minute majors for fighting for both teams and game goes on at even strength. The question is, who's gonna drop 'em?
