I am a huge fan of fine pizza. i think someone should make a thread of the best pizza place both in nj and in the city. i will surely make trips to all. Side note anyone going to try and watch the game at warren 77?

What about California Pizza? I don't know if you guys have 'em up in New York. They're fantastic.

lol, I ate there once, didn't like it.

BTW, with mod permission, I think we should make a Tri-State Food thread. Where people post good restaurants, pizza places, etc. in NYC, Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Northern NJ, and Western Connecticut.

Yeah, I've been wanted to try that place since I've heard so much about it. Haven't had a chance to take a trip to Yonkers (besides visiting family) recently though.

BTW, who's Elio's?

It also prevents you from going out and buying better, more reasonably priced pizza.

(also, in NYC, Grimaldis and Lombardis are kings of the roost, end conversation)

Elios you would compare to like Adam Graves...very comforting when you see him and he has been around a while more then most frozen pizza these days

was that the place where (I think its a brick oven place) the line is always out the door, you order from a menu based on what pizza you want (toppings wise and stuff) and then down the block is a damn good bakery that has out of this world cannolis?

edit:

yeah thats the place, friggen awesome, comparable to L&B in Brooklyn, not on squares, but in popularity because its awesome

That is where it's at indeed. A little olive oil and tomato paste, then top it as you wish.

My wife is a chef and made her own dough for tonight. Suckas!

Not sure how to feel about Carter. Some guys come back shot out of a cannon, some guys come back with a layer of rust.

Again, the only guy that matters, for me, is Boucher. He's put up performances over the past few weeks that (3) Carters couldn't salvage.

I'd actually equate Elio's pizza to Michal Rozsival myself. Kinda bland looking, bound to be bad once in a while. But down the stretch, they both come up big in clutch situations.

I agree with this. We should take a cue from the Habs board and make our "All Things NYC" thread a little nicer upfront. The Montreal thread is full of awesome suggestions in the first post.

We could also just make a dedicated food post if the mods think there's room. I can see a bunch of separate headings: Pizza, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Tacos/Burritos, French Fries, etc.

Damn I'm hungry, and I'm not a giant fat guy I swear.

My father makes homemade pizza every now and then (makes the dough himself, he's a baker so it's easy for him). It's my favorite pizza, unfortunately he doesn't do it all too often.

there is no doubt that tonight's game is the largest game of the season. WE control our own destiny! GO NEW YORK!!!!

I was listening to hockey central on sirius/xm and they were talking to someone that either writes or annouces games for them and saying some interesting facts about the team:
1. Pronger has kind of been looked as the captain, mainly by the refs, causing some sort of issues in the locker room. Which could cause richards to feel a bit under appreciative by others.
2. Richards has not been his normal self since the olympics.

let's go rangers!!!!!

That thread is pretty old and could definitely use some updating.

There is a need to stay on topic this weekend though. Probably best to get into these projects after the season at this point.
