I honestly think that management sees Martin as a good coach, and that this team is actually good. If it were me, it would be real hard keeping a dinosaur of a coach when arguably the best coach not in the NHL is under your contract.

Everyone all together now from the Bell Centre!

BOO!

No not at Price.

And you know, I am cutting MAB some slack tonight. Yes he was nothing to write home about however over nine minutes in the third? The guy was dead on the ice.

doubtful unless you see ownership step in. Martin is Gainey's man, Gainey is still sitting behind the scenes with Gauthier as pseudo GM. The regime that built this crappy team will need to be disposed of first.

I can understand this feeling. I have mixed feelings myself. We couldn't beat 2 of the worst teams in the league when we desperately needed to. Why make the playoffs and give a false impression that this season was even remotely successful? I just hope the Molsons can see this team for what it is.

I am really more interested in our draft pick right now than the playoffs because the habs are going to get ruined by just about every team out there.

1st round exit this year again, gainey you were smart to bail out you ****ing coward.

Poor Halak.

He's been winning all season, now his team his hanging him to try like they've done with Price.

I will laugh if Martin puts Price in goal.

I still don't understand why Sergei and Pouliot are getting benched. Pouliot hasn't been hot lately, but who goes in your top 6 to replace him? And Sergei has been playing good hockey with Moore...anyways, this team is so going to get absolutely rattled in the playoffs, it's not even funny. Hell, we haven't clinched yet so who knows if we make the playoffs still...it's ****ing sad.

Leafs will kill us.
Our third period was our best one lol...

Man...we play so listless it isn't funny. Just once I want to see us come out flying and sustain it for more than one shift. Just once.

On the bright side, hopefully his horrible play during the stretch drive will bring down his asking price. I can only laugh at the people who wanted him re-signed the minute the clock struck 12:01am on January 1st...

I don't think we have morons in the front office.

They can see just fine the play on the ice and the standings sheet.

Now, wether they have the balls to say they made some mistakes and will try to fix them in the near future is another thing.

Who cares about playoffs. This team is not built for it and would be an easy sweep for whoever is lucky enough to draw them. To small softest habs team ever.. and thats saying something with the brutal teams that have been spewed out of here the last couple decades.

Great to see Gill giving it to other players (Lapierre, etc). My my, that was, er...leadership?

Less arse-licking, more arse-kicking.

And JM has to go.

Losing 2 games against the Canes down the stretch is unacceptable for a team fighting for a playoff spot.. Very sad effort from the Habs tonight..

Maybe the Habs would be better off missing the playoffs as they have no chance against either of the top 2 teams in the East anyway...

How many do the Leafs win by on Saturday? This team is done..

Looks like Halak's luck is starting to run out at the WORST time. I pray that Price doesn't get thrown to the wolves on Saturday night.

EDIT: In no way was that a knock on Halak. He played well tonight. I was referring to the luck that kept us in all the time.
