Kicked out of the playoffs...or humiliated in the first round...so hard to choose.

no offense... but is probably ignorant to think that this is not a possibility. I'm sure the owners would both love the extra playoff money. To compare a scenario like this to the WWE is ridiculous. You don't think a ton of people will be calling it a fix if the outcome is a 2-1 overtime win for NY?

Unless the injury to Kessel (or someone else) is that serious, I suspect this is also to reward Brent for helping turn the Marlies around late in the season and cause he didn't get to play in his last call up.

He can be inconsistent, but Brent certainly has some offensive smarts.

LOL well said.

I'd prefer to see there suffering continue so it won't be so bad if they make the playoffs. Getting bounced in 4 games again like last year would be hilarious.

I was hoping he would be called up and I think he will turn a few heads, too bad it's only for the last game, he will have to impress with a few shifts in a final game, that's a tall order.

Scratch that. It could Caputi coming out. He was last off the ice with Irwin in Lundmark.

I'd prefer a 4-1 roasting... just so Montreal can destroy half the city for winning a single game.

Godd to see him called up. May as well let the kids play when there is nothing to lose (other than a meaningless hockey game to us)

Toronto OT Win
Rangers OT Win
Boston loses next 2 games please.

I would much rather have Montreal make the playoffs (and get swept first round ) than Boston make it.

Good for him to get a little bit of that NHL money for one game too. Nice gesture to end the season.

Something confuses me as I am looking at the standings. If Montreal loses this game in regulation and NYR win in regulation tomorrow, wouldn't Montreal still be in? NYR will be in 7th with 88 (assuming Boston wins today), Montreal in 8th with 87, and Philly in 9th with 86. So I don't understand how Montreal is not officially clinched yet. Am I missing something? If Montreal loses in regulation tonight and either Philly or NYR gain a point tomorrow, Montreal is eliminated?
