posted this in a new thread but it got merged into the coming to toronto thread which probably has little traffic.

can anyone help with this:

Hey All,

So I have a date tonight but obviously can't miss the game so I told her we're going to watch it at a restaurant.

Question is, can you recommend a spot to watch it that's not too "sports bar" like but can be considered a little trendy too?

I know some of the Jack Astor's are not bad, but just wondering if you all had any ideas.

Thanks!

Well, if you're in downtown Toronto I would suggest taking her to the Zanzibar. Excellent ambiance, and food, not to mention a chance to watch the game as well. She will be thouroughly impressed if you take her there. ND, and Squiffy, thanks for the explanation. Also ND, if you're at woodbine tomorow look for Roger in the second race, no need to box he will come first. My friends horse (Bruce on the Loose) was supposed to be brought ot woodbine, won the big race in Jamaica and came first in 12 of his 13 races) this week, but may be here by late April.

Last game/GDT of the season already, wow.

Let's make it a good one. It needs some RUSH. What you say about the Canadiens is what you say about society.

I'm not following close enough, but would the extra point do anything for Montreal? Would it hurt someone else? Like Boston?

Edit: It would force Boston to need a point in their last game to stay ahead of the Habs.

A Leaf victory today would be a bitter sweet ending to a dismal season for the team.

However as a original 6 hockey fan, anyone who is a diehard Leafs fans, has the Habs as their arch rival and least favourite team..

Being able to knock the Habs potentially out of the playoffs with a WIN would be SWEET indeed and at least end the season on a high note.

Lets hope some Leaf pulls a Boyd Devereaux hattrick stunt in game #82 this year.

Go Leafs Go !!
So Mess actually posts a somewhat positve thread, and ND immediately closes it?

For shame!

Go for the kill! Take out their knees! We must win at all costs and if it goes to OT and they make the playoffs at least make sure they are not healthy.

If I time this right, I might be able to catch most of the game at my friend's place still. Either way, there's nothing quite like it on a Saturday night:

vs.
Alright Giguere, now's the time to unleash that pent-up rage!

I get one channel that shows hockey here, they usually put on HNIC on Saturday nights but there's no multi-choice:

12.00am Live Buffalo at Ottawa - NHL
It's a big Eastern Conference showdown in Canada's capital as the Ottowa Senators host Ryan Miller and the Sabres.

Who the **** made that decision? Such a big showdown that "Ottowa" have already finished 5th

As much as a bust this season was, it's still sad that it's over. I really hope that we'll get hockey in April next season
