I was looking through my old collection of hockey cards and I came across the image on top which I decided to scan in and share. It's from the 91-92 season which was the team's 2nd to last in Minnesota. Interesting to remember also that the logo we use now is still essentially a North Stars mark (except for the word Dallas across the top).
Looks like Modano will be playing his last game in Dallas to bad as he will be missed in the NHL and not just in Dallas. A lot of memories of him as I still remember him back in the WHL playing for the Raiders. Class guy will be remembered as an all time great in my books even though I am an Oiler fan and he killed us many a time. Hope he stays in the game and gets a job with the Dallas from office. He is the type of guy that needs to stay for the betterment of the game of hockey.
"Modano will be honored by the Wild during a video tribute during the second TV timeout (first non-icing or goal stoppage after the 10-minute mark of the first period). It's his call, but it appears as if at some point tonight Modano will slip on a North Stars sweater. It's unknown if that will be in warmups, during a stoppage or after the game. He said maybe "during the game," but I emailed Bill Daly and he says that request hasn't been asked yet or considered.
I don't see how he'd be allowed to wear it during the game (he wore seven or so Stars sweaters during his home finale the other day), if for no other reasons than Reebok sponsors NHL jerseys."
