Guys like Stålberg or Thuresson would give much needed energy to this team. Cut Bäckman and Rundblad and bring in whichever Swedish D exits first in the West (ie: Murray, Kronwall, Ericsson, Hjalmarsson, Edler)

i just doubt that any of the wings would go in case of a 2nd round exit. besides maybe ericsson the other swedish wings had no longer off-season for 3 years and i think they will say no to the WC. and ericsson is not really in a shape to help IMO.

Both tend to over complicate things. But Rundblad is developing fast and is a better skater than Bäckman. I agree with you. Thankfully BÅG saw the light and showed Fransson the door. I hope he does the same with Lindström and Johansson. Niklas Hjalmarsson, Jonathan Ericsson and Andreas Lilja instead, please.

One would think that Andreas Lilja would love to play some more hockey, considering he has been forced to sit on the sidelines for so long. But you never know.

A couple are injured, but there is a difference between injured and worn out, which I would classify most of them to be. And then there are those that are neither aswell.

This team badly needs a shutdown defenceman so why not. Rundblad is playing PK.

Maybe because he is not a really good defenseman while he has had some off ice antics which are not too admirable.

He'd certainly crack the 2nd pair on this team at least.

Rundblad is not a bad choice on the PK. He was on the PP and PK both in the playoffs for SAIK. He was our best d defensively in the playoffs (Maybe tied with Skrbek). He has developed his defensive game alot this season. I think all of you seemingly have seen too little of Rundblad to realize the guy's psyche is of unnatural proportions which helps in tight games whereas teammates start to shake his nerves are unhinged. It's scary at times.

There's alot of forwards I'd like to drop on this team. But there are really nobody to swap with

Henrik Tallinder, Buffalo - surgery?
Daniel Alfredsson, Ottawa - Surgery needed
Johan Davidsson, HV 71 - surgery
Peter Forsberg, Modo - It says injury in his passport.
Henrik Lundqvist, NY Rangers - Troubled a long time with smaller injuries.
Patric Hörnqvist, Nashville - played playoffs with broken wrist
Nicklas Bäckström, Washington - axle, outgoing contract.

What's the holdup? The team was supposed to be announced today, right?

It's also one of his weaknesses. PK is never about be cool with the puck and I saw him overdo things a few times in LGHG instead of just sending the puck the hell away from our own zone. Other than that his defense aint too shabby, but he should save his moves for offensive purposes.

I don't think the team will be announced today. We play Denmark tomorrow and no players are cut out(except Fransson) for that game. Thursday or friday probably. And the final final roster even longer in case a few NHL players drop in.

They are taking too long with their roster decisions.

Well, just because we don't know doesn't mean the players don't know. Also, there isn't that many players to cut anyway at the moment. If some of the players are kept in reserve to be used if no more NHLers show up they might already know it. And it's not like the players in Sweden have to travel halfway across the world to get to Germany.

It´s so embarasing that Bergfors is a healthy scratch. He did not play good at the LGHG beacuse he played with Nylander that sucked. I realy hope BAG can make a good desicion for once, he sends the wrong message for players in the NHL if a player from NA comes and get benched.

I´m kind of pissed right now!

Well, I just want to know,if there's a chance to see more NHL players in the team.I mean Detroit's players, especially Franzen, who isn't so exhausted(he was injured maybe 5 months) and can be a big boost for the team, and of course the Sedins as their Canucks trail 1-2 against Chicago.

How is that the wrong message? If you're not good enough, you should get benched, disirregardless of where you're from.
