Fair enough, but whether or not he's from NA is completely irrelevant.

Apparently Lindström, Rundblad, Jonas Andersson, Bergfors, Nylander, Pettersson & MPS are the ones not registered in the waiting for NHL players and will likely not play the premiere game.

Not MPS, really? Not that I think he won't get in eventually but he would certainly make my top9 of forwards.

And this means that OEL will make the team, that's the good news. MPS obviously the bad along with Bergfors primarily. But, there is no way 7 Detroit/Nucks players are coming so a few of them will be included eventually anyways.

Is OEL really the better option opposed to Karlsson as the 2nd PP unit? Karlsson was QBin perhaps the hottest PP in the league down the stretch and through the 1st round of the playoffs...in the NHL. A PP that at one point, without him, was one of the worst in the NHL.

He cannot leave his job quick enough. Worst coach ever. No eye for talent. No feel for line composition. Completely clueless when it comes to standard coaching tricks like line matching. Has never had a team that played after a real system.. and without the Detroit players and Jönsson brothers there to fix things for him it really shows how inept he is.

Uhm, Karlsson made the cut, and I think he will play on the first PP unit.

Am I the only one wanting to see Patric Berglund and Mikael Backlund in this tourney? Mårtensson is too slow and weak to make an impact.

And we have virtually no strong DD to clear the crease other than perhaps Lindström.

BÅG:s coaching is uninspired as usual. I think he's too dumb to juggle the lines and play special PP-units.

I too would like to see guys like those you mention, and Oscar Möller & Viktor Stålberg, to get a proper chance at playing. Unfortunately BÅG rather use his old tired perimeter specialists from Europe than give those guys a try. Now apparantly 20+ goal scorer Bergfors isn't good enough either.

I like Lindström but he's not fast enough or smart enough to play hockey at the WC level. But we do need some good defensive specialists back there. Adding Lilja would be a start..

Lol @ Harju over MPS...

BÅG had one last chance to prove he's not a real idiot, and he does the exact same thing as usual...

The only good thing I see with this team is the fact that Hedman, Karlsson and OEL are given the chance - those three can be a scary top-3 in 5 years.

We shouldn't be surprised though, after all, it is BÅG....

MPS have Malkin-esque skating ability(although he can't buy goals on the chances he's creating, but that will come). I mean, we are talking about a future NHL-gamebreaker, or at the very least, high-end scorer.
Thank god this is the last we see of BÅG, i hope he dont' destroy our juniors though.

Seriously, Harju, over both Bergfors and MPS? Harju will be sent home for his worthlessness after the first Lightning season practice, mark my words.

EDIT: One more thing. Does BÅG have to be so damn outright rude in every interview he lends us? I bet we all look forward to his reunion with Smiling-Ola!

He had a freaking all-star team in 2006 on big ice, best possible way to a final, and then had Detroit players in the WCHs. And then years of sucking.

Out of the ones availible, I'd like to see..

Persson-Mårtensson-Omark (no idea, I just think they'd work really well together)

Nilsson-Klasén-Weinhandl (worker+wizard+sniper)

Tedenby-Lander-Paajarvi (Kid-line, perhaps the fastest wingers in the WC)

Olvestad-J.Andersson-Bergfors (hard working)

Ekman-Larsson -- Backman

Hedman -- Johansson

Karlsson -- Gunnarsson

Markstrom
Gustavsson
-who cares-

And then we might possibly have

Kronwall
Zetterberg
Franzen

Don't think Lidstrom, Homer, Lilja or Ericsson will be choices.

Sedin
Sedin
Edler
SAMUELSSON (They can go **** themselves!!)

That Bergfors is not registered is a total shame, he should be on the first line!

At least Nylander can still be cut, he shouldn't have stayed on the team this long but now there is at least a chance he won't be able to drag the rest of the team down. But knowing BÅG, MPS will be cut before Nylander

I don't have that much hope that we will get any of the DET and VAN players even if they get knocked out. I doubt BÅG will invite Lilja, Ericsson and Edler. Lidström and Holmström are most likely done with NT. Zetterberg and Kronwall probably having injury problems (they always have it seams :\). The Sedins havn't played WC in years and I doubt they will accept this year either. Samuelsson I don't need to mention ("They can go F* themselves). My hope is for Franzén

I hope that the first thing Mårts does as new head coach is to improve the contact with our NHLers. I am looking forward to the future overall when our coaches will have grown up watching NHL with a general interest and drop the "we-must-advertise-our-bad-native-league-because-of-no-sane-reason"-mentality.

BÅG in the studio right now. Says that Bergfors has left the team. He came to BÅG and said that wanted to leave. Wasn't "there" mentally.

So Bergfors has gone home. BÅG claims he did it as the result of a mutual understanding..
