No more SO wins/losses

We have lost a lot of shootouts lately, but earlier in the season it seems like we won our fair share too. Anyone have the stats?

Anyway, for discussion: Does the playoff format of perpetual overtime help us or hurt us?

Related: Do you think we're better-conditioned than other teams, or worse?

Hallelujah. Shootouts have no business in the playoffs.

Perpetual overtime helps the Kings - particularly with the Stanley Cup veterans that the team has that have been down that road before. The Kings tend to come on stronger as the game wears on. They have had excellent 3rd periods, and there have been a lot of times this season where I wished the OT would have continued because the Kings were playing well enough to win in OT.

The team I'm really curious about is Phoenix. So many of their wins came from the shootout (same with the Kings).

In the last week, I'm happy to see that some of our guys seem to have regain energy. After the olympic break it was... kinda sloppy. I have a good feeling for the playoffs, I hope we win this afternoon and face the Canucks in the first round.

Well, considering their habit of playing better later in the game, I can't see how it hurts us.
