That may be the most solid hit Cooke has ever taken. I just love how Kane skates away like it's no big deal.

Answering the bell plus earning the W in the fight, against a hated guy from our side=hero in Boston. Curious as to what the future holds for this guy. As a first round guy he obviously has a good career ahead of him. Being from Boston and only seeing him the times Boston played Atlanta I don't know much about him, what is expected of him? Thanks for any responses.

Kane was just playing tough hockey. Put a legal hit on Crosby, Crosby cross checked him, Kane went after him and tapped him on the leg with his stick to go, 2 of Crosby's goons came to protect him, and the X was put on Kane the rest of the night.

loved it/love kane. not to often do you see a top 5 draft pick who can fight, let alone at 18 just knock the eff out of someone like kane did last night. enjoy him boys, hopefully ATL can build around him.

You came close to the playoffs this year, a few moves in the offseason in a weak division. I don't see why you can't make it next year.
Regardless your gonna find a lot of bostonians like myself adopting the Thrashers now as a secondary team to chear for. From all of us, thanks for taking care of matt cooke. Damn shame we have nobody with the skill/balls to do it ourselves this year.

Sugar Shawn Thornton should show this to Lucic and Begin.....

The Thrashers fan base just grew by 100% last night!

I heart Evander "The Real Deal" Kane. He's gonna be a ***** to play against for the next 15 years, because he's Stand-Up.

As a Bruin's fan I can't thank Kane enough.

I will be one of the B's fans giving Kane a standing ovation when he comes to play in Boston.

I never really minded Atlanta before, but this has brought them up to my third favorite team and Kane to my second favorite non Bruin . (Kind of pathetic? Probably, but I hate Cooke that bad .

I want to thank young Mr. Kane for performing such an outstanding public service to the game of hockey.

Next time the Thrashers & their fans come to Boston, the drinks are on us!

Well his name is Evander

The funny thing is Evander Holyfield had a fight last night and KO'd his opponent in the 8th round to win the championship.

Couldn't he have hurt Cooke a bit more? He might still be able to play hockey again.
