Who will win the Stanley Cup?

Hodge on TSN is asking this question. I thought I would do something similar here.

I think...
The contenders are Det, Chi and Pit, and Wash
The pretenders are Montreal, Boston, and Flyers/Rangers
The biggest disappointments will be Vancouver and SJ
The team most likely to surprise is LA.

What do you think?

For the first time in a long time, I really don't care who wins.

Isn't always one of the top 2 seeds from each conference that wins? In that case its:

Washington
New Jersey
Chicago
San Jose

I think I will pick Washington.

San Jose has to stop choking eventually, right? Right? Hmm.

San Jose and Vancouver are two solid picks. If Luongo isn't Luongo of playoffs past, I can see them getting to the conference final at least, and some more luck the Cup finals.

Washington will probably win it though.

Really looking forward to how LA, PHO, and WSH do. And SJ to a certain extent, but for different reasons (to see if things have indeed changed there).

I'm certain PIT will go to the conference finals though.

I think it will be a Vancouver and Washington final. New Jersey could be a surprise though, but Washington is just a scoring threat and is leading the conference by like 20 points.

Vancouver has a solid goaltender (despite his flops here and there), Kesler is a true player and the sisters are on a tear this year.

Oh I forgot to pick the Stanley Cup Champions...Vancouver.

I'm fine with anyone except Montreal Vancouver and Ottawa (Unfortunately the three Canadian teams I like missed the playoffs), I wouldn't be able to take the cockiness from their fanbases, especially Vancouver's . I cheered for Vancouver last year, but that was only cause of Sundin; however I really do not like their fans, all hell would break loose if they won. I hope Chicago wins it though.

I say the redwings win the cup. Chicago seems like a logical pick as well, but they have goaltending questions marks and so do the wings to an extent. Luongo in my opinion has not looked good enough after the olympic break to take his team far so I say vancouver takes another second round exit. Washington does not have the goaltending to win the cup. The pens are not a bad choice, but they have a very thin blueline, that has basically two, maybe three good defenders.

I hope that no matter who wins, they have a fan base large enough to have a real impact on the happiness of a particular community, thus making life better for a decent amount of people for a little while.

EDIT: I forgot to answer the question.

I'd really like to see a Chicago Washington final. I think that would be very, very exciting.

IMO I think it would most likely be Washington or Pittsburgh.

I said Colorado would make the playoffs prior to the year starting. I put up with a lot of crap for saying it, and that run near the start shut some people up. Granted they fell a bit, but they still made it.

I feel like despite the odds, I might as well go all the way backing Colorado.

Although I think Washington or Detroit will take it. My gut has a funny feeling about the Sens.

So to sum it up: Washington or Detroit
Possibility of: Sens or Colorado (not likely)

The Same. Although if Ovie wins, I will be happy.

Which is exactly why they won't win it. They'll win the West at best (lol rhyme), but the Hossa curse will keep them from lifting the cup.

Man, imagine if Phoenix makes it to the final. I don't think NHL hockey has ever been played while it's 40 degrees outside.

San Jose and Vancouver are your safest bets to choke.
