Ok, so our year was pretty crap. We all know that. I think we have some good things moving forward, next year has got to be better. Strangely enough, I kind of feel like somethings been lifted off of my shoulders now that this disaster of a season is over. Anyway, this isn't about the Leafs so much, it's about, the PLAYOFFS!
I LOVE the playoffs! Especially the first round. An average of 4 games a night and players practically killing each other for every square inch of ice. it's so damn intense, it's the best hockey out there (aside from Olympic hockey, of course). Last year I managed to watch two games at a time by using the split screen, that's how much I love the playoffs! The multiple OT games are amazing, so many possibilities and upsets to be seen.
So let's just let the worries of this team go for a bit and enjoy some (hopefully) great playoff hockey!
-Sharks will choke in first round, against either Nashville, LA, or Colorado. Take that to the bank.
-If Philly gets the Devils, NJ is out in round 1
-If Buffalo/Boston is a matchup, it will be low scoring goalie duals
-Watch out for those Kings, I can see them winning the West if the young guys can handle the heat.
-I'm just not sold on Chicago, I think they're overrated, they're good... but I dunno, with that goaltending situation I see them out in round 2 or 3... plus they have Hossa, which is almost a guaranteed loss in the Cup finals
