I know everyone loves Simmonds, and I do, too. But he had an easy chance to score on the first shift of the game, and then has a 2-on-2 and totally whiffs on a pass to the boards that leads the Avalanche down the ice which a goal came like 30 seconds later.

I'm now waiting for the slashing penalty.

Are we the dirtiest team in the league or something?

We've been on the end of some really brutal calls lately. I don't get it.

It doesn't matter about the Hawks. Kings can't take care of their own work against a team playing for nothing. We can't score except the 3rd when we're down 3.

These refs wouldn't know a legitimate penalty if it bit them on the backside...

What period is it for you guys?

Ideally we'd both win, then San Jose and Detroit would have to face each other

Solid period by Iceberg. No clue if the goal was covered or not, honestly, but aside from that, he's keeping us in through some horribly sloppy play.

Have to play mistake-free hockey vs. the Avs. They're jumping all over every turnover. Their transitions off errors are impressive.

I really don't get this team. Did they also just go, 'o we're in playoffs now. we dont care who we play.' and just start playing in the 3rd when they're down 2/3 goals?

I'm happy this period ended and is not because of the Kings play or trailing by one. Man does the Avs announcer suck donkey balls. Pure homerism, gets only excited on Avs rushes and tells stories and
informations that would put even a insomnic person to sleep.

Also, the play where they scored probably would have been whistled 95% of the time and has been in almost every game, but can't blame the Avalanche for poking it through Ersberg's side into the goal.

They better come out in the 2nd period with some energy. Score a goal. Put pressure on.

Avalanche.

Kings have 0 Power Plays. Avalanche had 2.

Avalanche scored on a questionable non-whistle call, but have choked on a few chances close to the net. The Kings best chance was at the start when Simmonds couldn't lift the puck off the ice, and Kopitar having a seemingly wide open net that Anerdson sprawled back to save.

That goal wasn't on Ersberg, and it wasn't on the ref who didn't blow the whistle. It was ALL Jack Johnson, who felt the ref should have blown the whistle and quit playing, assuming the whistle would be blown. He was right there to tie up the stick and didn't do it.

It's those mental errors - small, tiny ones, that will destroy the Kings in the playoffs. NEVER stop playing until the whistle IS blown!!!

Honorable mention to Parse.

I expect a Power Play sometime in the 2nd...

Were my eyes playing tricks, or did one of the Avalanche players just grab Kopitar's stick and throw it away from him during the 1st?

uhmm...........

same game like ever.......

no ideas, no creativity and just the easy things....
The team stays away from aggressive attacking.
Don't know what sense it makes but Murray will tell me some day.

We have big power forwards and take the speed out of every game.....

I wish we had a coach who adjust the game plan to the team
instead squeezing the team in a style what's not even close
to the team abilities
