Our position at 6th(1st round) and a second round(MONTREAL) for your position at 3 overall?

in a weak draft as is, no. a 2 nd rounder is not enuf.

i have a feeling that there might be a trade on draft day and right now we, the hawks can sit back and wait for the proposals which i am sure will yeild more.

that is my opinion. for us it is going to be a sellers market.

I've got little confidence that Tallon and Dumas are going to be able to do the right thing with a #3 let alone a #6!

Dumas perhaps, but Tallon has shown nothing but knowledge and success since his management posts. He has had a hand in Bell, Calder, McCarthy, Arnason, Babchuk and even helped scout Ruutu. These have become the core players for the Hawks future. If you don't like Tallon than you don't like the future of the hawks.

The problem with the Chicago organization is that there are too many hands in the pot. Pulford often meddles in affairs and has a sketchy history. I am not sold on Dumas either, yet previous to Tallons involvment (back at the start of Bob Murrays tenure) the Pulford had given away numerous 1st rounders and players, completely decimating the team.

Smith also proved to be a horrible judge of talent contractrary to his reputation. He traded McCabe (whom Tallon was a fan of) for Karpotsev and picks for Korolev. He traded Dumont for Grosek and also decided to give Buffalo cash on top of it.

Don't confuse who did what. I know it is difficult considering there have been so many pupateers of the Hawks over the last 10 years, but Tallon, whom I have heard many times talk in length, is very knowledgable hockey person and if he ever gets full control will do a very good job rebuilding the franchis IMO.

keep the third overall pick and get radulov or barker , the only good thing about last season except tuomo ruutu is our high draft pick of this year, let's keep it please.

You could trade to have the 4 2nd rd picks. Then trade them all away for a superstar or semi star.

I think they have four 2nd round picks- their own, and 1 each from LA, DAL, NAS.

The Rangers already have 4, also (possibly 5 with Umberger not signing). Remember thats 4 picks to get a steal. IMO, 2nd rounders are quality, but since you guys have 4 2nd's thats quality and quantity right there.

I don't see a trade with NYR happening. The Hawks would want #6 & a top 3 D or top 6 forward. Hell, they might even ask for #26. Oh, and whomever the player is, he better be cheap, these are the Hawks we're talking about.

the level of talent in this draft, a #3 vs. a #6 is a big drop of a 2 rounder is not enuf of a enticement to make the trade. if the hawks were to trade, a prospect and a draft pick (2 round) would then be likey.

i think the hawks will get more from other teams willing to move up and get baker. i think a lot of teams want baker.
