I really wish there was a way to get this into the locker room.

I dont even think Neimi is that great. He has been solid but unspectacular. It is our sad offensive scheme that is making him look like a stud.

Hopefully that changes tonight

Milwaukee came from behind to force a game 7 with Chicago in the AHL, we can do the same.

I'll be watching tonight's game with interest. As I told my friends before the playoffs started, this series was the most likely to produce an upset, while most laughed off my prediction and said Colorado would knock the Sharks out. I said no, Colorado was terrible down the stretch, and while SJ has no intensity in the playoffs, they'd still get by Colorado.

Nashville on the other hand hasn't won a series and is due IMO. I think Nashville has the edge in net by a large margin, and as the series has shown, the Preds can compete physically. Also, being divisional opponents, they were more familiar with each other. So, prove me right guys! If Nashville gets by Chicago, they'd play SJ, and quite honestly, I like your team's chances in that matchup too...

So far it's Rinne who cracked under pressure with a mental error.

Not so much a mental error as a read gone bad. He saw the puck getting rimmed around the boards, went to cut it off, but it bounced off a skate in neutral ice. Conditioned response.

Niemi didn't crack. I thought he was good when he needed to be. We gave him a few panicky moments in the third and he stood tall.

Granted, I don't think we challenged him nearly as much as we should have, with our season on the line on our home ice, but credit to Niemi, he played well.

No... Vandy fans never get any sort of success, or expect it... we just get to the edge and then **** ourselves over. It's much closer to being a Cubs fan... and I would know, it sucks.

Well, the Vanderbilt offense is very much like the Predators powerplay.

But in other respects, not the same. Us Vandy fans don't get teased with good regular seasons. We always know we are going to be bad. Although I told EVERYONE the team was going to be really good two seasons back, and when they started 5-0 my friends thought I was some sort of guru. Then the team folded...

And both coaches always say "I like what we're doing out there, we just need to execute a little better."

Assuming you are talking about the Blackhawks second goal, please explain to me how that was a mental error on Rinne's part.

You can't be serious. He began to head to the back boards to play a puck that wasn't even going there. That was not the fault of the deflection, that was Rinne's fault. If he's in the net, he may still miss it, but at least he has a shot. Intercepting the puck can be very useful, but who says that would have even been the right play. You can't just say "unlucky" on that one, even though it was unlucky in a way. He did much of it to himself.

It hit a random skate... very unlucky, and not at all "cracking under the pressure."

Point of this series is that the Preds were 14 seconds away from taking a 3-2 lead and perhaps a stranglehold on the series... so close.

Oh, I wasn't saying he was cracking. Just on response to someone hopeful for that about Niemi. And so I pointed out that that one looks like a mental error. Under pressure. He made some great stops later. And everyone saying "fluke" and "unlucky", well I don't think it was all fluke and luck. A lot of it, of course. But gee, never seen a puck hit a skate before. He made an anticipation that was wrong.

The puck was going there, hence Kane leaping out of the way so it could go around the boards, only to hit his skate and deflect in the net.

We didnt ever give Neimi the chance to crack, a mistake that I assure you the Canucks will not make.

Overall, I don't think Chicago was playing at their best level, but they looked like the better team over the course of 6 games. Game 3 was the only game I felt we outplayed them.

Rinne was brilliant some games, and OK others. He had to brilliant for us to take this series.

We also had to get a lot of bounces to win this one. We got the one floater bounce in game one, which helped get us the W. Chicago got some breaks (off Kane's skate in game 6), but I'd say the bounces were pretty even.

It's pretty amazing that we made the playoffs with our horrible PP and PK. It's safe to say that caught up to us.

I certainly didn't expect to win this series, but this was the closest we've come. I don't take much consolation in that though. It's hard to see this group getting us out of the first round, and many will be due big raises soon. I don't have confidence in Poile to make the decisions to get us over this hump. We're stuck in the 46th percentile and can't get out it.

I thought Spaling really stepped it up lately. He looks like he could make the roster next year. He didn't register any points, but him with Wilson and Tootoo were buzzing last night. He was solid on the PK as well.

At least our Game Ops didn't pull this stunt during the series
